Just watched the ‘69 GF on Foxtel
Always good to beat Carlton
Walls was a sniper even at that stage but Sheedy was onto him
The late Mike Bowden played well as did most of his team mates
Great memories
We won our 2019 finals by 155 points. We won our 2017 finals by 135 points. Us then daylight. Let the other think what they want, the reality is right there in scores.I recall post '17 it was reported that our Finals series was the most dominant by any side since '00 Bombers. Ppl carry on like we'd won all of our finals by under a kick...

Only team to make the Prelim stage in the last 3 yrs. 10 more wins than anyone else over the last 3 yr. The whingeing suggests we have worn them down.Finished top 3 the last 3 years, and qualified for 3 straight prelims, and won 2 flags with extremely dominant displays. That’s pretty damn good by anyone’s standard.
What ppl don't realise about that prelim, we also missed shots in the 2nd, so while we could have & should have been further down at 1/2 time we also could have & should have been closer at 1/2 time. In the end them kicking 2 goals in the 2nd half is what undid them, nobody ever wins Finals doing that!If any other club did those numbers.
It would be mentioned every time they would be playing.
"He comes the record breaking magpies"
"West coast dominate 2019 finals campaign continues"
Us
"Geelong were unlucky"
"Only if Geelong kicked straight in the 2nd"
"Brisbane matched Richmond"
Except for Collingwood against Geelong last year .What ppl don't realise about that prelim, we also missed shots in the 2nd, so while we could have & should have been further down at 1/2 time we also could have & should have been closer at 1/2 time. Lucky they weren't playing a decent sideExcept for Collingwood against Geelong last year .

We said it would happen when we got good again and it has. This is why the rest of them didn’t want the sleeping giant to wake.
Well, he certainly is awake, and with a healthy dose of incurable insomniaWe said it would happen when we got good again and it has. This is why the rest of them didn’t want the sleeping giant to wake.
I think WCE are a good example of a team that doesn't whinge and got the job done. Whatever you think of WCE that was a cracking GF win in 2018 against a team at their home ground.
On my scale over the past 20 odd years we sit on the second rung, below Hawthorn, Geelong and Brisbane. We need one more flag to reach that level.
I'd have that Essendon side on the next rung down, probably standing alone with other single premiership sides below them.
I don't recall exactly but it's pretty similartend to agree with Hawks, cats and lions. Curious to know what their win - loss was like over the three years compared to ours?
Rough count over consecutive top 4 years:tend to agree with Hawks, cats and lions. Curious to know what their win - loss was like over the three years compared to ours?
