Still giving us nothing...'cept Cups and Medals

Will be interested to see what sort of impact Glenn Luff has at Nth this year. A bit of a real world test of the effectiveness of their stats.

Personally have never bothered too much with CD. Even more so now they rate Lynch/Grimes as average & George as below average. Either the way they measure performance is wrong or most AFL fans (and AA selectors) don't understand the game properly.

Kingsight loves them because they make him seem smart in hindsight.

Champion data has merged with Sorbet.
Both are very similiar, one is for producing Shiit and the other for wiping Shiit.

good post. what’s more is that Hawthorn won their flags during the period of expansion and compromised drafts. It made it harder for teams to reach the summit and extended Hawthorn's reign at the top. Their 3-peat is the least deserved in history. It doesn’t come close to Brisbane's, but even their era was a little bit tainted with salary cap concessions. Its puts into perspective how good our last 3 years have been.
Based on the sooking we get about us that Bris team are the greatest in history as they beat 3 Vic powerhouse sides to win thier 3 whereas Hawks beat 3 interstate sides. it's funny watching a Hawks fan back peddle when u mention that fact!

Just another thought too, are we greater than thier era? as during thier era we had little trouble beating them but they can't beat us during ours...

Anything we accomplish is always down played.
When hawthorn beat 3 interstate sides to win 3 a row, nothing was mentioned about home state/ground advantage.
They didn't change any part of the game after there 3 flags.
We win one, the sooking started.
MCG advantage. 6-6-6.
We shouldn't be allowed to recruit lynch.
But when hawthorn recruited Lake, Mitchell, Gunstan, McEvoy, Bygyoune, Omeara and Frawley.. dead silence.
Sometimes, you make perfect sense.

CD ratings are based on a players relating rating to thier position, however they have Lynch as "average" & Tex walker as "elite" in the same position as each other. the system is clearly flawed!

If their ruckman wins the stoppage, knocks it down to one of their mids who handballs 10 metres sideways away from the boundary to a teammate who handballs 10 metres backwards to some one who handballs 10m sideways towards the corridor to someone who kicks a 15 metre sideways pass to someone who kicks it 40 m to Vlastuin who intercepts, then they have accumulated a shed load of stats very quickly. All of them are effective too. They just didn’t achieve anything.

If Vlastuin then runs 10 metres, handballs to someone who knocks it into Edwards’ path and he hits Lynch lace out, that’s a goal. For not many touches.

Damn, what just happened?

I don't regard Collingwood of '02/03 as a powerhouse side, more a well-drilled, tight-knit bunch of honest goers with one elite player (Buckley). They only won 13 games in the 2002 H&A season. Port was the true second-best side in those years, winning the minor premiership three times in a row, but were fragile in finals. In truth, there was Brisbane and a bit of a vacuum after Essendon slipped.

They fail to realise that we were presenting for 3 years with one bad year before. People forget we were a bees *smile* from top 4 in 2015
Statistically at least we were closer in 2013.
Actually in a sense, since 2012 we have been doing what Melbourne did some years back with alternating good and bad years, relatively at least.
Our odd years (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019) were up, while our even years were not so.
Hope we break the trend this year.

Even though the FeralSun article doesn't come out and say it, you can see it was written with a sense of incredulity. Mention the average and under average players and gave a quick overview of what they achieved last season.

It's either a case of Champion Data have really jumped the shark, or that CD are now part of the Competition Evolution Manager's new portfolio.

Are we a cocky supporter base??
I think we are more a passionate supporter base and very loyal.

Because the hate squad are counting down the days till we fall back into the pack.

*When was the last time you have heard the media refer to Trent Cotchin as the brownlow medalist??
I actually forgot he won one.

I have a feeling Champion Data takes it's rating averages over a two year period, so Lynch may have a low average from his last GC season bringing it down.

Champion data makes shiitt up and sells it to the AFL and then its used by clowns like Healy & king.

Who's heard about the 5 boxes you need to tick off before you can challenge for a flag.
Or The David King special.
If not in a certain category defensively and in Attack again your no chance.
Pity both of those "criteria" disappeared last September.

The only commentator's that doesn't refer to champion data are Nick Riewoldt and Carey.
