Sports Quiz

Which Australian Golfer missed most of the European tour after he broke his leg when a leg of a clothes line hit it ?

Pretty sure it is Terry Price. He managed nine holes in the PGA at Coolum but had to retire with blisters on his hands from his crutches.

With only 100 days until the Commonwealth Games begin - how many times and what cities and years have the Commonwealth Games been held in Australia?

All right. ;D

Here is a belter with the World Cup finals coming up in six months:

Four teams have gone to the World Cup finals and finished the tournament unbeaten, but failed to win it. Name the four countries and the respective years.

NB Defeat on penalties counts as a loss for the purposes of this question.

ok.I might have different info here.
If you mean, which teams won every match but failed to win it, the teams are Argentina (1930), Czechoslovakia (1934), Hungary (1938 & 1954).
However, more than 4 teams have been unbeaten and lost the final. Sweden (1958, 1 draw), West Germany (1966, 1 draw), Italy (1970, 2 draws) Holland (1974) and Germany (2002, 1 draw).

Last three are correct. Poland lost 1-0 to West Germany in 1974.

It now comes to my attention that there are TWO more! Brian Glanville, doyen of football journalists, has stuffed up in his appendices.

So we're still looking for two more sides.

i don't recall belgium making the '98 world cup final... unless i misunderstood the question  ???

okay.. after re-reading the question several times i finally understand it :D

woo hoo, now I can get back to work. :doh I should have knocked off hours ago. oh well. In keeping with the World Cup theme, who was given the quickest red card in a match during the World Cup, what country did he play for, when was it and how long into the game when it was given.

Can't we keep these questions a bit shorter ?

Even Einstein wouldn't be able to answer these.
