Semi Final Richmond Vs North Melbourne

I would say this is our strongest team for the year, with everyone available for selection.
Going to be a tough game, against the lions they weren't putting on their customary pressure, almost hesitant at times to take the game on.
Hope they took positive learnings from that first final and will implement them V the kangas.

I think the girls will get up by 7 points.

I agree best team named all year. And a good player omitted from the team. We seemed to lack run last week which then effectively cost as pressure. If we can correct this the girls should get the job done.

Also great to see a sell out.

We just didn’t get rewarded for our pressure last week. I lost count of the number of times the Brisbane player took on the tackle, didn’t dispose of it and then it was a ball up. Potentially this just gets adjudicated differently in AFLW.

We basically lost the game in a 5 minute patch that included the much discussed 50m penalty and broke even I thought over the remainder.

Brisbanes’ full forward Wardlaw though is a women playing amongst girls and a clear point of difference that will be hard for any team to stop. I guess there is a reason their percentage was over 250%.

North don’t have that so we should go in very slight favourites IMO - although in the last game I felt north dominated more of the game than we did but their forward is a shocking kick for goal

Yeah, need to play well for the whole game and bring the pressure. We can do this.

Not sure what to do about the tacking, players just seem to get away with dropping the ball just before or while being tackled and it is a ball up. Didn't know dropping the ball was a legitimate disposal.

This game will define our season. Win and the season has been a great success. Lose and it will be seen as a missed opportunity.

But the girls will win.,

Think finishing top 4 has been well above expectations. Winning a 50:50 final would be the cherry on top but think it's a Melb v Bris GF.

Good fight back. Not sure what the free to us was for. Cutting back 2 goals a good result.

Looks like conti playing lame. We certainly don’t have depth to cover any of our top tier players.
