Season over !!

It will be a miracle if we now make the eight.
On current form the Druggies should have no trouble disposing of the Suns and Mudpies.
Our only hope would be the losses by the Eagles.
Here's hoping!!

After the run we have had & the way we have played this year it just doesn't feel like we are still even in it.

Will still gladly love to creep into the 8 & put the fear into whoever we were to play if we did make it.

We've still got it all ahead of us.
Our form the past couple of months overall has been pretty rank.
A win against the bottom side doesn't do a great deal to boost confidence.
Even if we get over GW$ we still have to beat an improving Hawks.
Not over yet but sure going to be tough to play finals..

Yeah and even if we win both games we also need to rely on either Essendon losing a game of WCE losing 2 of its remaining 3 games.

we're in a win/win scenario for mine. making the finals is a bonus and a crack at the Lions/Port/Swans. Missing out means an early finish and a well deserved rest for some tired players. refresh for preseason.

As Spud would say ‘Yeah Nah’. I’d rather we make it than not.

The thing is that form is out the window. Hawthorn beat Brisbane, Adelaide nearly beat Port, giants beat cats, saints beat Swans, bombers beat dogs. It is all over the place.

Anything can happen over the next 2 weeks. I enjoyed watching Ralphsmith, Dow, Stack, CCJ and MRJ on Saturday and if they show plenty again over the next 2 weeks and we don’t make it then that’s ok.

To be honest we haven’t played well enough to deserve finals. Not sure anyone outside the top 6 has.

I haven't done this for a few years. We lost complete control of limping into the 8 with losses to saints, suns, pies and freo and needed to not falter in the last 2 games.

The Essendon leapfrog - assume they win their last 2 games (and even with the Suns and Pies - there is no certainty these days) we need to gain 3.3% on Ess to leap frog them. This can be mission impossible if Ess have huge wins in their last 2 games.

The West Coast leapfrog - this comes a little clearer late tonight post the Melb game. If Melbourne can find their mojo then West coast face Freo and Lions in Brisbane. We would LOVE WC to go loss - win - loss and that should see us make the 8 on % IF Richmond can play 2nd half football v North Melbourne in their remaining games.

If we make this I think it will be the WC path but wait and see what Melbourne do tonight.

It’s such a terrible season across the board. Hardly any memorable games, no stand out teams or players.

If we can sneak in and somehow find our mojo, it’s very possible we can win a final and then who knows. I don’t think it’s likely but it’s not completely improbable either. Just look after our own backyard and hopefully win the next two and what ever happens, happens.

They are my premiership favourite. I just reckon they play the closest to a finals brand of footy when at their best
Maybe, but I don't think their FL is capable of kicking enough goals in tight finals. Where is the star quality up there? Fritsch is a handy mid-tall but let's see how he goes tonight up against some reasonable (had to edit as WCE defence actually missing McGovern and Barass) defenders.

Unless they can afford to play Petracca more forward, cover his lower midfield time, and he can 'do a Dusty!'

I agree about their forward line but I just think It's different in finals where 12-13 goals will win most games. I really like their midfield in a final with Petracca, Oliver and Viney in there.
I don't trust the Dogs and cats in a finals game. I think Port play finals style footy as well but I don't think they are as good as last year when imo they were the 2nd best team in it.
Just watch however, after saying all that west coast will beat melbourne tonight ;)

What do the players gain by sitting at home in September?
For Tigers some badly needed extra rest after a long muti-year campaign and a longer pre-season into a season.

Normally I'd agree, nothing beats finals experience but in this case I think we might get more out of missing out (which is likely outcome at this stage)
No way, i want them to get wooden spoon.
That would make my year.
Buckley sacked and a wooden spoon.
Top succession plan Eddie
Unlikely to happen unfortunately. North need to win both games (Sydney, Adelaide), Adelaide needs to beat Melbourne and lose to North. Pies need to lose both games (Lions & Bombers).

We don't deserve to be there.
Have a look at Fremantle today they're are fken useless.
Gold coast no better then North.
Collingwood we were up by 26 pts.
West Coast 22 points 8 minutes to go.
Its been a really shiit year
Agreed My Dear Zips

The results speak for themselves.

The West Coast Loss knee capped us.

To lose to Collingwood, The Suns and Freo on the run home unforgiveable.
I hope I don't have to barrack for Scumwwod against the Bombers in the last round.

As disagreeable as I would find that its less disagreeable to an extent now Fiiggy and Fat Ed are gone.
