Result: Hawks 67 beat Tige's 56.

Game I think was played with only 14 a side?, (due to our lack of numbers), they seemed to have an extra player or two on bench.

Match was split into 8 short quarters without ever going into the sheds for a half time break.

Oleg not playing so will be carry over for tonight.

Dow: Get him in get him in : Oh my lordy lordy, another SOS legacy, Carlton do a draft swap to gazump us and leave Thomson Dow on the table for us :rotfl1. Finally the word WOW and Dow can be appropriately used in the same sentence. Hands clean as a whistle, not afraid of the contested stuff can run all day and kicked a freakish goal under enormous pressure, (hawthorn player yelled out that was a fluke:))). He didn't play the last quarter so I hope that is only because selectors had seen enough like I had.

RCD: Excellent game I thought, not everything was clean but his numbers were right up there, I am guessing about 20 possessions give or take so very positive signs.

Luke English: Good game, I actually think he might have won the possession count by a fair margin but he reminds me too much of Anthony Miles so doesn't excite like others and there is my slight concern on pace.

Egg: Best of what were only 4 defenders.

Aarts: Best of what was only 4 forwards, 2 or 3 goals.

CCJ: Had a couple of ordinary moments but ended up wit 2 goals.

Nank: Didn't think he knocked the door down to dethrone Soldo.

Balta and Garth: Hawk talls got the better of them although Balta showed some nice glimpses.

Kmac vs Naish: Thought Naish was the better wingman today but still needs to get a bit tougher in the contest.

Mabs: Was ok but as if often the case just not enough.

That will about do it folks, all roads lead to the "G", (i wish), go Tige's.

Many thanks for such a comprehensive report.

Dow sounds exciting.

RCD will need to get going if he wants to make it, especially with the threat of smaller lists.

Would really like to see Balta take a step up, he could be great, we'll see.

Is time running out for Mabs? A big question and it really is up to him whether he puts in the effort to make it.

I just said Riley had a good game so he did exactly what he needed to, no chance of being cut and list downsizing won't be as dramatic as first thought IMO.
PS> every player develops at their own pace.

Didn’t he just say RCD played an excellent game

Dow I loved the look of him day one so clean in and tight and loves to grab it from packs and running machine we got a beauty.

What's the go with Martyn we drafted has he played last 2 weeks and was Biggy there today.

Yep.
RCD is the perfect example of a player who had a physical advantage in underage as a taller/bigger midfielder and now has to build size to reach that level with the men:
Players like him, Ross and Naish would be running around in the seniors at many other clubs. We have the luxury of developing them before they play a lot of senior footy

Cheers for the report as always. By the sounds of it Dow will debut before too long.

Bloody hell Ceaser, talk about the kiss of death.

I recall the nickname Paddy Wow in his first year at the blues.

That's not quite correct, he had a growth spurt when he was 17, so he didn't always have a physical advantage in underage footy.

Wow.....miserable....non ..I mean no no no pressure from our mids..no chase...no desperation ...and the usual mess of a foward set up.....Rioli simply has to be dropped

I am saying it is 'IMPOSSIBLE' for Thomson Dow to be a bust he is too clean by hand , too good aerobically, and what I like most whilst he has a light frame very good in the clearances.

Ok yet to be tested against men and will certainly need to build up his strength but i want Thomson WOW in there NOW :D

Look I'm taking the *smile* out of Carlton with the wow comments.

Here is the official club player summary from scratch match v Hawks: Don't think I were too far off the mark :)
