Run Benny run!!

Serious?
Even if Cuz is allegedly doing 40km through red lights..what about those coming through the green ones!
You'd don't get arrested for nothing. Refusing a breath test allegedly speaks volumes.

Not many vehicles around 10:30pm. Just saying he controlled his driving as best he could instead of causing a disaster.

Whatever.

By the way just for curiosities sake. If it was such an urgent dire emergency, why would you not take the breatho, add an explanation of the emergency and plead with the Plod for assistance to resolve the emergency instead of refusing n getting carted to the station? Surely that would have delayed him n made it impossible for him to rescue the emergency.

Who knows what the real facts about this emergency are, but at least he did stop and spoke to the cops. He didn't avoid them. Not taking a breath test is his private issue we all don't need to know. He's done it before. If he still has issues with drugs, it's his own private problem and shouldn't be plastered all over social media.

Depends in what you were on.

And an accident at 40km/h can kill, quite easily

You should see how many ghosts I've hit when driving through these 40km/h zones.... :hihi

Hitting someone or a vehicle travelling at 40km/h barely causes a scratch from what I've experienced.
You don't have much experience then. Hope you're not licensed and you stay off the road.

How do you know this?

After being chased by them.

Well if you want to know, I've been driving for 30 years and have a Rating 1 under AAMI. Never caused a smash.

I just find most of these 40km/h zones completely empty during the school hours with barely any person in sight. Some roads I drive on have ridiculously low speed limits and I'm quite sure a lot of people are clearly aware of revenue raising.....but that's another topic.

Never caused one or never been in one? Massive difference, perhaps you only drive to the local flea market on a lazy sunday morn.
While we're on the subject why don't you have a little peep at the damage done to cars during the various ANCAP testing situations. Done at speeds varying from about forty to sixty kph and only including one vehicle rather than two or perhaps even more.

Geez...might as well come out with my life story here. I've been in smashes before. Two (1997 and 2010) where I was T-boned on the driver's side and close to getting killed but I doubt the culpable driver was doing just 40km/h.

Whatever the speed limit shows on the street doesn't mean an idiot is going to travel at that speed. Reduce it to 20km/h or 5km/h and you'll still get idiots running well over it. It's not speed that kills, it's idiotic drivers that can't control their cars.

Heh. Righto then. I'll file that where I file the US Gun Lobby's "Guns don't kill people, people kill people".

Last time I checked, yeah...unless guns control themselves.

Remember that next time you're going through a set of lights at that time and the guy coming the other way doesn't stop. ???
Honestly if his name wasn't Ben Cousins no doubt your tune would be very different..

No it wouldn't. Nothing happened. No smash. No death or injury. He controlled his driving, even though he broke the road rules.

What more do we need to hear about Cuz?? I'm getting sick of this sensationalism the media keeps beating up. Leave the bloke alone to sort out his problems. He hasn't committed a crime.

He was arrested by the police (again) but yeah it's a media beat up. :help

Let's talk about others who get arrested for running red lights then. Looks like Cuz is still a great dish for the media to munch on. Any news is good news.

I love the Cuz and its the only time i actually wrote to RFC using my membership number demanding they grab him!

Sorry TF The last sentence caused me to LOL... Infact he did committ a crime hence his arrest...

Considering we have been a joke since 1980 taking on Cousins as a player if one of the few highlights in recent years.

He's an ex-Tiger and as such I wish him well. And as a person I hope he turns it around for his own sake and his family.

Imagine the fuss if he was a delisted Bomber - whoops - we all know what Benny takes - what was Jobe on when he won his Brownlow??????

Needs psychiatric care, which will require ongoing management, most likely for the rest of his life.

Thoughts go out to those closest to him. Accept the help Ben !
