Round 8 other games

Am i the only one who see's the stunning resemblance in St.Kilda to our 2017 team? Looked to be a bit shot after a pretty disappointing season - then hit the trade period and make some key moves & re-invent themselves. They have done well. If there was ever a year when St.Kilda would break their GF drought - 2020 seems like the perfect head *smile* *smile* show for it to happen. VERY St.Kilda

They will still find a way not to win it.
They're stkilda.

Absolutely.

Can we send McQualter back to them and grab their forward line coach? I’m losing what little hair I have left watching our forward line play this season.

Isn’t Fly our forwards coach? Was a lot of love around this place for him prior to this year. Seems the tide may have changed.

Pretty sure it’s McQualter. I’m sure someone on here will be able to confirm. Whoever it is they haven’t got it working.

Yep, and if we don't win it I'll be rapt if they do. Just hope I'll be allowed to cross the river to celebrate in my old stomping ground.

Richmond winning the flag could be taken as an omen things are returning to normal. Ratten winning one would give you hope.

The Saints aren't a surprise to me.

When we played the Saints last year for probably around about a quarter and a half they played on at every opportunity, they ran hard and they scored relatively easily. 1st half they kicked 7.0, that wasn't because they were kicking them out of their arse but they were kicking deep inside F50 and getting 1 on 1's. Its not a coincidence that in a lot of games this year their conversion has looked very good.

We came back at them in the 2nd quarter and Richardsons sphincter tightened and they went defensive. Right at the start of the 3rd I remember Dunstan receiving the ball just outside our F50, he turned and didn't have a Tiger in front for about 50m, he turned, he stopped, he propped and waited, waited, waited and then ended up booting it long and I think we intercepted.

Ratten was never going to do that, he has always been an attacking coach and was exactly what they needed. Adding even more speed through Jones and Butler has just complimented what they already had.

What a fiasco this game between the crows and Dons. Both are looking hopeless at this stage.

Have you noticed the huge ground space between the players. More than half the ground has no players in it.

No wonder there are so many scrappy ball ups and whilst I'm at it the frees to Bombers are 8 to 2 at quarter time.

Reckon the Crows were robbed of a goal as well, as it was given as touched. To my eyes it was not so.

Whats happened to the Crouch brothers, used to be so good at clearances, Crows getting completely pantsed.

gonna sit in front of the fire with a Venezuelan rum

and watch pies v wc today.

expecting a good game and hoping/expecting WC to prevail.

It'll be interesting who wins the free kick count. If the Pies do, it'll confirm that they've got the umpires on the pay roll.
