The Saints aren't a surprise to me.
When we played the Saints last year for probably around about a quarter and a half they played on at every opportunity, they ran hard and they scored relatively easily. 1st half they kicked 7.0, that wasn't because they were kicking them out of their arse but they were kicking deep inside F50 and getting 1 on 1's. Its not a coincidence that in a lot of games this year their conversion has looked very good.
We came back at them in the 2nd quarter and Richardsons sphincter tightened and they went defensive. Right at the start of the 3rd I remember Dunstan receiving the ball just outside our F50, he turned and didn't have a Tiger in front for about 50m, he turned, he stopped, he propped and waited, waited, waited and then ended up booting it long and I think we intercepted.
Ratten was never going to do that, he has always been an attacking coach and was exactly what they needed. Adding even more speed through Jones and Butler has just complimented what they already had.
