That's 3 away games in a row, after round 6 we will have had 2 home and 4 away games.

Umm, just how are they going to prevent us from having a pile of games at the MCG to end the season?

Surely any bitching and whinging about where games are played this year has got to be off the table.
It'll be a miracle if they get any sort of season completed at all.

Ssssh! Don't tell Kane Cornes. But someone will have to tell him because he can't figure it out himself.

This fixture flexibility is bulldust. OK, this is a unique season that may not even be completed, but allowing the AFL to get away so far from the old logic of H game, A game, is a travesty that allows result rigging, or the likelihood of altered outcomes.

Aints, Norf and Dogs always much bigger chance to beat us at Marvel. Four A games in a row for a team that is not in any hub is an inequity.

(On the other hand, it might be about trying to scrounge some $$$ back into the AFL's bare coffers when crowds can finally get back into the G. But there's no care for giving us a fair fixture that will maximise our finals chances I'd say).

I think they’re using this year as an excuse to fixture us away from the G any chance they get. If no WA team makes the GF (a very real possibility) I wonder if they’ll be so eager to hold it over there?

Round 6 and we’re playing North Melbourne at, wait for it......Marvel :rotfl1:rotfl1
We were initially scheduled to play them at the G; which would have been the first time in a H&A game since 2012. So now it will be at least 9 years since we have played them at the G in a H&A game. The farce continues.......................

What's the bet we play the Dogs at Marvel as well?

one of the positives of playing Norf away is that it’s another away game. the more we play now, the more home games we get later on when the likelihood of crowds returning increases. i would not be surprised at all if the club requested this. but if we do get a string of home game to finish the h&a season again, get ready for Kane Cornes and his ilk to go nuts :mhihi

Yeah the current draw with Saints and North at Marvel is not at all kind but it's more about our attitude at the moment; we've been really poor since the season resumed. The way we are playing right now we should be no better than even money against the Saints and I'd have North as favourites at Marvel.

We need to switch on and win this week or the season will slip away quickly.

Don't think it'll work out that way. teams are being forced to play home games away from home. coll v geel will be played in perth. the wa and sa clubs have played home games in qld. there will be no even split between home and away. the way things are going in vic we'll be forced into a hub interstate and play home games there.

So, we have to cope with Cunnington smashing our players into next week and having Brown do his usual Dangerfield like staging for frees.

before the current outbreak in Melbourne, there was talk of crowds returning in mid-july. thats not gonna happen now, but that doesn't mean it can't happen in August if we get on top of it in the next week or 2. Thankfully, the whole McKenna scenario has turned out much better than we all expected

100% we will have 9 away and 8 home games this season

Yes, could be. At least we play the Weegles at a neutral venue - I know they've been there for four weeks but given the way they are playing there I still count it as a neutral. We may get more neutral games in hubs as well.
