Round 5 - Positives

Positives?

My kids are happy, we are getting a new projector and screen to replace our old TV.
The thrown stubbie did not bounce off the screen this week :)

The first quarter was brilliant.

The second quarter our pressure was good, but we started to fall down around half forward and stopped scoring.

Negatives :-

No-one KO'ed Ballantyne :spin

First quarter showed what we are capable of, the rest of the game showed how much we need to improve.

Imo we are on the right track, but it will take time.
My lions supporter mate reckons we wont win aghame all year, but I think we will win 2 or 3.

You have to be joking? He and his type are the cause of so many problems. Collins for one has very little composure. His first thought always appears to be give it off no matter what...better someone else under the pump. Whats with the looping handballs to team mates under pressure or running backwards. Edwards and even though he wasn't playing last nite, Jackson to a lesser extent. All these guys do is put the side under further pressure with constant inept disposal. On the flip side only have to look as far as Foley to see what a little creative handball can do in terms of turning things our way.

Problem we have is that the guys we can bring in on only put up much of the same. Probably time to at least see what Webberly has to bring to the table.
Hit the nail right on the head there strachanie19, excellent post.

:clap

Didn't realise how much we missed this guy. Great first game back, great first half. Saw him take on his opponents, can't wait for his dash to come back into his game.

his addition to the midfield had an immediate effect and freed up the mids, can see him, martin and cotch working well off each other. Rance set shot on goal was impressive, hope he can back it up.

Just need to turn that 1st quarter into a 4 quarter effort and we'll start to overrun teams.

Positives:
One more game in the younger players' experience;
Their attitude was excellent all game.
Edwards is improving as is Farmer ( slowly);
Jack's acting lessons are working;
We only play Geelong once.

The best from last week

Never dropped their heads at anytime
Tried to play to the game plan all game
Tackling, Tackling, Tackling
Improved games from Dea, Nahas, Rance, Farmer

Absolutely loving it
