Round 4: the root canal games.

Nobody would have any idea if Geelold were any good yet.

Kissed on the *smile* by the draw.

Same for Carlton, they have crows next week. Let's face it blues should be 2-2. If not for the 3 we had injured in the game we would have won. Today freo got robbed

Let's see how Carlton goes from rounds 6 to 10

RD 6 GWS
RD 7 Geelong
RD 8 Collingwood
RD 9 Melbourne
RD 10 Sydney

That’s a tough run. Umps better be on their game.

We can say that BS mark and goal to Stengle cost the Dogs.
Yer, just looked at it again. You cannot be certain that the ball hasn't crossed the line due to all the goal-post padding? But the umps allowed play to continue. So why can their decision be reversed?

Should never have happened. Regardless of whether the right decision was made in the end or not, live play should never be called back for a review. No umpires on the field called for it, it wasn't a goal so no review during dead time. Shouldn't have even been looked at to begin with.

If they've reviewed this, why wasn't Higgins goal a couple of weeks ago reviewed?

And why have we never seen any/the supposed evidence that Lynch's goal - as decided by the goal ump - wasn't a goal!?

With each round that goes by almost, more and more questions without (credible or convincing) answers raised ... and left hanging.

skimming through the comments here it makes sense to me why i rarely watch games of AFL
except the Tiges these days...

it seems this new team 'The Umpires' are doing quite well ..

Always good to get up and check the AFL results on PRE.

The Doggies made the Moggie’s look good last night but they just fell short by a kick. I don’t buy into the Cats hype at all. It’s more a reflection on how bad the dogs are playing. They are seriously slow and don’t have a game plan except kick it to the three talls. How does Bevo still have a job?

yeah same - I just love the unbiased, balanced and un-emotive discussions on here, no past grudges held with any team, especially the scum, filth, pussies and druggies, the overall respect and love that PRE shows with all things AFL including the dumpires and media is just so inspiring, bit like a modern day church really.

Beats the crap out of anything else.

Did this seriously happen? Had the goal umpire finished flagging the behind?

Goal umpire had finished waving his flag for a behind
Too late mark should never have been reviewed by arc
Umps are controlled by someone watching on a monitor calling the shots

There is something that truly stinks in AFL House. With the add hock introduction of technology to the game it didn’t take long for AFL powerbrokers to use it to determine the outcome of games as they see fit.

The media should be raising red flags every week as the obvious incompetence/corruption is on display in many games; demanding answers from the AFL to the questions more and more people are asking about the validity of the competition.

Putin himself would be impressed with the scarcely disguised iron clad censorship the AFL has imposed on the game.

It’s a bloody disgrace!

Truly unbelievable. What a joke this makes (again) of the FARC system.
If they are going to start making calls on marks in play, and stop the game for these reviews and then recall the ball for another decision to be conjured up. Wow. And shorty touching a ball as it sailed thru for a non goal was overlooked - the exact reason FARC was brought into being. And don’t get me started again on the Lynch goal of 2022 v Brisbane (IN A FINALS GAMES) 😠😠😠
