The way Melbourne were setting up looked close to impenetrable, looked a bit like the way they were playing last year. Melbourne are looking very good but the test will be to see how they go when the other side applies some pressure. Brisbane were pretty useless tonight.

A tale of 2 defences too. Brisbane scored 29% of their inside 50 entries, Melbourne 50%. Stark contrast right there, to beat Melbourne you need to somehow get past their defence.

If Sydney get their percentage a bit higher it could well be a QF in Sydney, now that would be interesting. Sydney won't let Melbourne have so much space and will apply pressure, not to mention a lot more speed.
