Round 23 road works when you are running late games

Make no mistake, this was directed at us. AFL put the call out to make sure Sydney win and snuff out any chance of us making the 8.
If Sydney lost we would only be 1 game behind and 16.7% out of the 8
All we needed was Sydney, dogs, bumbers and cats to lose and we just had to beat Port by 291 and we’re sitting 8th.
*smile* afl would snip a point of us somewhere. Just to stuff our %. Cheating pricks

I can't understand the new CEO is appointed Dillon , and Gil is still the face of the afl puzzling and bewildering nothing more then a boys club who never takes accountability .Dillon is a puppet. Gill tenure is full of controversy and failure.

Dillon takes over after the end of the season

And you'd have to be pleased with your blokes securing a finals berth.
Over the moon! Thought they were gone for all money when 40 points down yesterday but they dug in!

Bit of a hangover today. Should have fired up the old 'drunken posts' thread I started more than a decade ago.

Before our Dogs game I said watch us make the Dogs look like premiers, and we all know what happened.

Since then, the Dogs have lost to the Hawks and the Eagles. They are the very epitome of a mediocre side.

We are so far behind, don't let our wins paper over any cracks regarding our performance late in the season.

Yeah, we’re *smile*.

Gee the Kangaroos are going to have the makings of a super team in the very near future. A graders or in the making, with Sheezel, Wardlaw, Larkey, Reid, Davis-Uniacke and the young guns they will pick up this year.

Yep. The Dogs were there for the taking and we didn’t turn up. Made them look very good and they are far from that.

This system is about as tecky tecky as my long- deceased Sicilian Grandfather’s trusty shovel.
Happy to bet that your grandfather and his trusty shovel actually worked though. Whereas there's not much from AFLHQ that actually works.

Why did Wet Coke want to win and give up first pick to the Roos ?
Because if they had first pick and didn't pick up the Harley ( who'd probably be a massive go home risk at the start of a rebuild ) they'd get reamed all through the media for being *smile* wits. This way with pick two, they get to pick who they want ( probably a local ) who'll be just as capable with no fuss or outrage to contend with. Plus they get a little bit of end of season feel good factor for wiping out a finals contenders season against the odds away from home. Been a long n horrible couple of years for the Weagles, the players need any kind of sugar hit they can get.

Bit of pre-emptive talk around that GWS and Carlton will meet in the elimination final following the last-round meeting.

If that's the case then I hope the Blues get done next Sunday. Can't see it being a 2-0 result to either club - it'll be a 1-1 split for mine.

May be time to fire up the old tank next Sunday. Hope she's still purring like a kitten.
