Round 2 (Hawthorn Away) Ticketing and Other Discussion

there seemed to be a few carlton fans last night. perhaps they were allocated closer to 5,000 tickets (plus their AFL and MCC members probably pushed their numbers to about 10,000).

This is a little encouraging for R2. The AFL also seem to be of the view that the capacity cap will be raised next week. Last night seemed to have ran pretty smoothly from a COVID safe aspect. I felt the MCC were fairly well organised. I wouldn't be surprised to see us go to 60,000 next week.

Ironically, I created this thread to avoid confusion. We have to buy tickes for every game and we have to be organised and ahead of the game to make sure we are ready to purchase. We are 9 days out from R2 and we haven't received any information re access to R2 tickets.

What makes it even more confusing is that the ballot for R3 is opening today, but we still have no news re R2.

I was sat right next to the AFL members on the wing, there were a heap of Carlton fans in the AFL members. Probably around 50/50 in there I would hazard a guess.

They kept them all together at the Ponsford end so it was Carlton-safe for the rest of us too.
Not for me. They put all those arseholes in the bay next to me. Scared the *smile* out of me when they kicked the first goal. Thought we were outnumbered. Annoyed the hell out of me during the game but got the last laugh

The majority of them were in AFL members and to a lesser extent in MCC but around the ground from where I was looking 99% of the Southern and Olympic stands were yellow and black. City end where their cheer squad was they were surrounded by yellow and black. But I agree overall blues had 10-12K, Richmond around 36-38K and about 1,000 corporates.

Hopefully, by RD 2 there is an increase buy geez a decision needs to be made asap by Vic Gov because as an AFL GOLD MEMBER with Richmond Club Support. I just received this email today.

Yeah. .. they were like a swarm of *smile* locust..... I was surrounded by 'em

That whole Covid safe seating plan was sort of perplexing. ..... the middle of bays were sparse so imagine it was to force people down one particular aisle. Virtually no seats taken in 2 rows behind me which was ideal so I could get away from the *smile* heads!

The above is all I can see too, looks like there is no info for people who are "home" members or not members as Round 2 does not appear in the General Public section relating to ticketing.

Maybe the best place to look would be Ticketek as they sell the tickets for the MCG.

This is *smile*. I’m an “away” member. If I want to go with a family member or mate who has just a “ home” membership, does that mean I have to purchase a general admission ticket at extra cost so we can be seated together?

Highly likely, unless you get your away member ticket, your friend gets their general admission, and you just sit together anyway.

This is the problem with no guest tickets at the moment.

you get the same barcode to use all year, or at least I have so far - log into your membership account on the rfc website and you should see something like this

Somoene over at Bigfooty just said you can
As an afl member i have mixed feelings , more competition for seats but on the plus side more richmond supporters in the reserve to drown out those hawk flogs

Out of curiosity how many 3121 members do we have?
