Round 2+1 other games

this contrived unsociable tough off the ball stuff the giants try-on is total bull. If they win the commentators crap on about what an impact it had, if they lose, which has happened more when its an obvious ploy, they look like fools. In the GF last year they tried it a few times, they sort of seemed embarrassed to be doing it, and then started getting flogged so stopped, cameron on Marlion, some other bloke whose name I always forget on Caddy, Someone else on George, the hold-down after play has stopped, the got laughed at and looked like gooses, not a big stretch from the power stance. Caddy in particular gave it to him. They tried it on again last night and lost, you'd reckon they'd learn.

Especially when you saw their new captain Cog try it I nearly fell off my couch laughing.

‘plastic tough guys’.

It’s not in their DNA.

Contrived.

Ben Brown just received his obligatory soft free in front of goal. Why do umpires fall over themselves to award a soft free to forwards but ignore them for backmen?

Wish Jack & Lynch would get some soft frees that he and other forwards get.

He's usually good for at least 3 a game same as that plank at Collingwood.

Sideshow always good for at least 3 against the Tigers.

Umpires reward uncoordinated bean poles with no centre of gravity that continuously trip over their own feet and throw their arms out.

Interesting that since the return the 2 sides that look the furthest from it are the 2 Grand Finalists the Tigers and Gee Whiz.

My concern with this Essendon , Connor thing is...

1. The other 7 players he trained with.
2. they played the Swans last week.
3. Swans played North today.
4. next weeks game against Carlton.

Hope someone asks Gill later tonight when he appears on Ch 7 after the game, or they don’t want to think of these things...

5. Could seriously put the season in jeopardy.
6. how they make up these games.

Thoughts...

The Dons either have to be put into quarantine as a club for 14 days and have these 2 games postponed, or the 7 that have trained with Connor need to be quarantined for 14 days.

If he has trained with the entire list then the whole club should be put in a box for 14 days.

The Swans will be tested heavily and now the Kangas will need to be also.

The microscope will be on the Swans heavily in the next week.

The only complete option is that all Essendon, Sydney, and Kangas games are postponed next 2 weeks.

Bet the AFL are wishing he tested positive earlier before the Swans and Kangas played.

Its only going to take a few more players to test positive then the season will likely have to be canned, which right now to be honest really wouldnt bother me that much.
