No it's not; that just compounds the problem. Changing the rules again half way through the year just shows how idiotic it is. No one at AFL house can think anything through, just stupidity personified, no vision.
So first game we copped 8 x 50m pens, some for this dumb rule. 4 x 50s gave them goals which was the virtual losing margin.
So do we get that result expunged now for the rule alteration? Get a replay? Split the 4 pts?

Umps were trying hard to get the Baggers up. Double the frees and some really soft ones. Defenders are pinged for chops even when they make legitimate spoils, punches on the ball.

it was a poor attempts at dry humour. the umps didn't enforce the stand rule a few times, at all. They've been patchy on it all season. Not in our games though.
