Round 14 - the rice cake games.

Good work of mini Richmond in rolling the Saints.

Ridley never gets an opponent. Gets huge super coach points. Does not play a football position. Is he some kind of artist? Is he experiencing beauty? He can do that in Bali with DeGoey.

Esserdon has no tall backs.

Naturally, Rutten, a few weeks ago finally addressed this Supercoach points bull *smile*. This zero tall backs crisis. And gave Ridley a job.

Ridley is now a tall back with elite ground and aerial skills. He plays a position. He wins. His numbers were down; his impact was up. And the Bimbos won.

Ridley worked for a living.

*footnote: We could easily cultivate Gibcus in the way Ridley was cultivated. Gibcus would rack up super coach points. But we're about winning Premierships and that means accountability. Young Gibcus has an opponent. At 19yo, sometimes an elite opponent.

Mason Redman has been kinda good for years. Can do stuff but often doesn't. Usually soft but sometimes he goes. Runs. Best kicking elite. Will mark it when you expect him to turn it up. Not busy enough. But he kept getting better. And now he's blooming.

D'Ambrosio did some freakish stuff. VFA fans will be all over him. Busy. Tough. Smart. Fast twitch. Disciplined. Turned 19 on 05 June.

Hobbs cannot be blamed for his hilarious GCS plays tonight. He has Stringer as an example.

Hobbs to HBF and Stringer to GCS.
Hobbs was a fascinating watch tonight. A compelling combination of entitlement, whinging and not quite good enough.

Jye Caldwell.

Been watching him for weeks. Stupid? Dafaq? If dumb was an economy Jye Caldwell would be Bill Gates. He would start a foundation in Africa so that every village could have a sprinkler and enough Gatorade to feed its crops. Nice try, Jye.

Coaches have to deal with that. When Caldwell got the ball early tonight he quietly looked for a target 20m away in space. With an angle. Took a little bit of time. Hit the target.

As the game wore on he was hitting harder targets around the ground but still nothing ambitious. He did work further back so less pressure. (Smart.)

Got better numbers. 25D, 7Ta, 5Tu, 6SI. (Disposal, Tackle, Turnover, Score Involvement.)

But he levelled up and caught Ratten and StK off guard. Good coaching, good play.

Some exciting moments from @Scoop 's lad Wanganeen-Milera. He's an athlete.
He’s levelling up. Figured out he has some time, in a side that barely whimpered, he kept going. Kept trying.

And his decision making with ball in hand is first class. At worst in three years time he is a better Brad Hill.

Just realised if the Kochies can roll over the Ducks we go to 6th.

Geez I have to barrack for the Drugs and the Kochies this week!!
Sssshhh just turn the lights off, close the curtains, pretend your not watching n admit to nothing. We'll forgive you n look the other way while pretending we don't know what you did in the dark.

I hate having to compromise my hatred of other clubs, but..... one must do what needs to be done!

Sitting back through gritted teeth, kind of, sort of, willing the bombers over the line lastnight was challenging.

Woke up feeling somewhat disgusted in myself, but..... I did what had to be done!

Periods of self loathing await in games that matter to us, kicking off with Port v Sydney.

Screaming at Conor Rozee to hit up Charlie Dixon provides no joy, but...... I must do what needs to be done!

If I survive that game in tact, I will prepare for the next assignment, West Coast v Geelong.

As moments of doubt in my endeavors brim to the surface I will continue ... doing what needs to be done...

Cheering McGovern on passionately to pole axe Hawkins requires no apology. .... and never will.

Fortunately my day of shame becomes easier as..... I finish doing what just has to be done..

C'mon Giants. ... keep them sniffing, chucking, ducking dogs from nipping at our heels...

If all goes to plan, I will rest my head upon the pillow, safe in the knowledge that I took one for the team...... and just did what had to be done!

Typical Stkilda
Just a kok football club with rejects from everywhere.
They kick a goal not 1 player goes and congratulates the goal scorer.
They will never win a flag.
Just a disaster of a football club
Yep, their Premiership Reunions in the local phone box won’t be changing anytime soon.
Such a toilet club.

Must be tough being a Saints supporter. Not much to celebrate over the years. I feel for their supporters at times, many of my mates barrack for them.

Injuries, as always, look like playing a role in getting to the finals - Steele out is a loss, he's a good player. They have a few players 30yo and over, King is gonna be a gun. But they may need to start again with some quality youth rather than trading more players in (they've traded heavily these last few yrs - Butler, higgins, Crouch, Hill, Hannebery, Wood, Zak Jones, Wilkie). Missed a couple more I think.

Hate to say it but reckon the Cats will do a Bradbury and win it this year. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it so i try not to.

I think port Adelaide needs to change their name, 4 syllables is just to much to ask of commentators. The last few weeks I've heard them called Padlay, Pudalay, Pordalay, and Padalaid.
