Spot on posh. The thing that annoys me the most about Melbourne isn't actually them, its the bloody media. We had to win 2 flags in 3 years before we were given any credit. We were spoken about in such a derisory way after 2017 that we were fluky, worst team to win a premiership etc. Yet 2022 is similar to 2018 for us, except we proved very quickly we could deal with losing players to injuries. We lost potentially the best defender of all time in Round 1 and were immediately written off, they lose May and fall into a complete heap.
They rely so badly on 4 players, May, Oliver, Petracca and Gawn. They were all exceptional last season and bar Oliver, all the others have dropped off the last few weeks and its proving their depth is rubbish compared to a lot of other teams. Several of us on here questioned how good they would be if they lost a few to injuries as we didn't find out last year and we are now finding out.
This year is completely open. We can win the premiership this year if we peak as we enter finals.
I thought we'd be zero chance whatsoever of getting Oliver out of Melbourne Mr P.BTW a lot of people laughed at me when I suggested this, but I'd be in the ear of Oliver. Come to us, you can still be the main man, but we will provide you a much sturdier under belly to help you.
Yes, a team dinner will most likely get all the Dees back on the same page. They're channeling the Bulldogs of 2016.
We need to be all over him, if we have Cotch play 1 more year next year and then get Oliver to replace him (for free) at the end of 2023 at the age of 2026, he could keep our window open for another 5 years with players at a similar age such as Balta, Bolton, Baker, Graham, Rioli, Short and then the youngsters like Gibcus, Rioli, Clarke etc.I thought we'd be zero chance whatsoever of getting Oliver out of Melbourne Mr P.
But geez, if a few more cultural issues arise, and some of these Goodwin gambling whispers are accurate, then maybe we are a slim chance.
Dockers and Lions twice each in the run home and Cats in Geelong. Wowsers.
Could they do the impossible and miss the finals. Tough draw.
Only 2 games against teams that probably aren't in the mix for finals. Adelaide in Adelaide and Port in Alice Springs.Dockers and Lions twice each in the run home and Cats in Geelong. Wowsers.
Oops, misread it. Still pretty tough. Carlton and Collingwood too.Only 2 games against teams that probably aren't in the mix for finals. Adelaide in Adelaide and Port in Alice Springs.
They've already played the Dockers once and lost but still have them to play in Perth. They need to turn it around quick or is not a talk of whether they win the GF, the question will be asked if they will be playing finals. The way they are playing, I'm not sure I can say for sure that they will win 3-4 of them.
Max Gawn won't be around forever. When he goes Oliver has to work even harder.BTW a lot of people laughed at me when I suggested this, but I'd be in the ear of Oliver. Come to us, you can still be the main man, but we will provide you a much sturdier under belly to help you.
Geez that was quite underwhelming.OFF TO THE GODEEZ BIG FOOTY BOARD!!
Geez that was quite underwhelming.
Only 2 pages and no Outrage.
Its like they are not even interested, if it was the Big Footy Tigers Page it'd be goin right off, and be at least 6-8 pages or more deep already
Of Course and its off to a bumper start.Course they aren't interested. The skiing season has already started.
Ego still large. They reckon it's just a slump....Geez that was quite underwhelming.
