If I was a Kangas fan (Heaven forbid) I'd be furious with Polec and Pittard, in particular, not being selected.
These blokes are exactly the ones who should be playing. Both are on big money and have a responsibility to lead their club in a time of need.
Instead, they both have been given a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Shifting them on at the end of the year would frank a monumental failure on the club's behalf to get the most out of them.
Both can clearly play. They should be lined up and told in no uncertain terms that it's time to deliver.
Polec is an elite kick and Pittard is OK too. Watching North cough up the ball time-after-time forward of centre proves they need these blokes playing.
I look around the league and see guys like Crozier, Plowman, McKenzie, Lyons, Kent, McCarthy, Conca, etc, all busting a gut at their new clubs after being fringe players at their previous clubs.
If North can't get more out of Polec and Pittard, it either says something about the character of those two guys or an environment that for some reason can't get the best out of players.
Either way, I'd be playing both and putting it on them to justify their potential (and pay packets), no excuses.
