Round 12: the work meeting games.

It's just sickening hearing David King keep mentioning the Huns are the 'old Richmond' with better talent. Every week I hear this.

Now reckons Dimma's on the same track that Leigh Matthews was when he first took over the Lions all leading to their 3peat flags.
Meh. They just beat the bombers. No great feat.

Ok i found it. I'm not disliking what Squiggle is putting out here. Would lead to some pretty fun melts in Melbourne with those finals results.

Squiggle seems to be showing that AI is really dumb (it is actually, but powerful in what it can do, just not actually intelligent).

That finals series is priceless:
Carlton beat Fremantle? Freo is 9th.
Sydney beat Geelong? Sydney 1st and Geelong 3rd.
Western Bulldogs beat Collingwood? The dogs were 10th.

I haven't gone through the rest, I assume that ladder is end of H&A.

That Mr Squiggle bloke is some kind of nuffer. Doesn't he understand that there's 4 points awarded for a win, 2 points for a draw n none for a loss. What the *smile* are all the decimal points allocated to the number of wins about????

That’s seems a decent crowd for a Sunday night. Bit of noise for the Suns. Football is growing in Queensland. It doesnt appear to be in Western Sydney.

One of my boys just competed at the QLD schoolboys under 12s AFL championships at Maroochydore over the weekend.

Held at the multi sports complex there, which had a dozen or so netball courts, couple of soccer fields and four full sized AFL fields.

Most interesting to me was there was not a single rugby field to be seen.

Yep, growing at a rate of knots up here Red.

Yeah. I think the Suns whilst not as footy “tough” or culturally advanced as GWS, will eventually go past GWS simply for the fact the growing interest and investment by people in Queensland is growing quick whereas in Western Sydney it seems to be going nowhere at the moment. Local players as well a big big factor.

SE QLD also has the expat influence from Vic Escapees which is helping foster the development at a community level.

Also mums are not wanting there 10 -12 year old sons getting poleaxed playing league by 10 -12 year old Islander kids built like 16 year olds so they prefer the kids to play Aussie Rules.

Bingo! And fair enough too. I've had four sons play AFL all the way through and remain relatively unscathed. I don't think I would be encouraging them to play rugby though.
