Roughead is the player that has made the biggest difference to them.

Besides height Cox is a nothing footballer.
And Milo is collingwoods version of that GWS clown Finlayson.
Does nothing in the games that count.
Collingwoods weapons are Penderbury Degoey Moore and Obree.
The rest are amateur B grade footballer's Maynard, Thomas, Mayne, willis, Madgen, Noble

Ive been around when 6000 people woild turn up and watch us play.
I was around when we would struggle to win 5 games in a season
I was around when we beat Essendon in a practice match and sheedy told me to flk off.
I was around when we would lose to stkilda at moorabbin.
I was around when we beat hawthorn at princess park in 85.
I was around when 70k saw us beat Fitzroy at vFL park in 83.
I was around when Fraser Murphy slapped us off princess park round1 of 82.
I was around when we went to victoria park at 10 oclock in the morning in 1990, to leave at half time.
I've seen the best and worse of this club over the last 48 years

Did you sit anywhere near Level 2A (PRE side) on the Southern Stand during the 90s?

Geez Footscray like to kick it backwards and sideways, and it achieved nothing except to ensure the inevitable turnover was closer to Collingwood's goal. You couldn't even see what they were trying to achieve as the ball movement was so slow Colingwood could just set up and get a turnover. I thought Footscray would be good this year but that was rubbish.

Collingwood also seem to like kicking sideways. Far more effective than Footscray but still I often wonder why when there are better options.

We will have to improve a hell of a lot to win next week, and with a shortened season losses will be more costly.

Yes, Doggies were useless tonight, really disappointing as, like many, thought they wee a chance to beat the Scum. Colonwood's pressure and defence just killed them along with amazingly prejudiced umpiring when the match was young and a possible contest. Dogs were weak, soft, like witches' hats.

But both teams get away with heaps of passes <15m, especially the scum. It's another joke of a rule. But colonwood exploit it really well to find space, evade pressure and break down zone defences. Hate to admit it but they were impressive tonight with high pressure and sharp passing with very effective handball chains. They always seem to have a man out back for the get-out handball and many players have 'quick hands' - throws are hardly ever pinged.

I think they will beat us well next week as look way ahead in preparation at this point. With all the soft frees they get and all the rule breaches ignored for them by the dumps, we'll struggle to get near them.

But then, the whole season may not matter at all.
 
Collingwobbles play their best upfront and then fall into a heap end of season.

Heard the word "connection" out of the players' post game at least 3 times. And commentators saying one of the Collingwood players tells a joke inside the huddle each break and "it's all about having fun at the Pies now". When are they changing their jumpers to incorporate a yellow sash?

Becuase Collingwood supporters cant count.
They reckon they still got ripped last night.
Its the one's the oppostion dont get either which is the killer.
If we got half of those types of decisions Collingwood get, we would be smashing GWM records every week.
 
The Pies looked good again as they did up at Wangaratta in the pre season cup.
If our game goes ahead next week they'll be a good test of where we are at.
Not the be all end all if we lose given it's March but they look like they'll be challengers again.

That was a strangulation. One of those games where as an opposition supporter you couldn't get one positive out of the game. The Dogs never had a sniff.

The Pies are primed and ready to go, ready to peak too early too.

Grundy just picks up frequent flyer points every time he plays Footscray.
Another 54 years for the doggies.
Couldn't stay up for one more year after winning the flag.
