Round 1 Finals - the PRE hangdog games.

amiss looks the goods
Sensational hands twice on the lead, and the second goal was clutch.

They have some great young talent. Serong. What a gun. Brayshaw. Young, brilliant player. Their best three tonight, two third-year players and a fifth-year player. If only they'd drafted Georgiades in 2019 instead of Liam Henry. O'Driscoll was never going to miss that goal because he never misses. Chapman, Clark, Walker, Frederick.

And some great veterans and solid senior players. Rapt for Sonny Walters and Mundy, been fantastic players.

The one in the middle in last qtr was clear. On the replay daisy pearce called it a handball. The AFL media are pathetic in calling out *smile* like that. They take the public for fools.
There were a heap of throws, but 2 or 3 in particular they showed on replay, obvious throw, ump standing perfectly positioned 15 metres away, play on. Its just dissapoints me. Just pay it, why is it so hard?

Umpires cost them ............ not pisss taking either can you believe that?

Of all the clubs kissed on the diick weekly they say the Umps crucified them.
But they did. It influenced the result no doubt. Multiple HTB ignored for the pies.

HTB went to new levels of random stupidity over the 4 games. I've never seen so many times when players have virtually all stopped and are saying 'come on WTF?"

Can only interpret that umpires are instructed to ignore everything but the one handed throw. There can be no other explanation.

The Mitch Duncan one today was as bad as you will see. Everyone stopped expecting the free - except the umpire.

Cats can’t lose it from here with the run they get. Selwood throws every possession he gets.

The Harris Andrews one wasn't real good either. There were a heap more in the Geelong coll game too. I reckon the gnarly old pros that Geelong are, they read the play early on what they could get away with throw and HTB-wise, and milked it for all it was worth. I know some would say thats good footy, but I hate it.

If one club has utilised the dumbest rule in world sport.
Sydney have. They chip a 15 m kick, mark, immediately handball to a guy running past with the poor bastard on the mark unable to move and watch his pponent run past.
Get rid of that dumb rule
Great call. They do this so well. Other clubs will adjust in off season but competitive advantage for sure right now.

But the ball was in his hand and then it went out. That's a hand ball isn't it????
Unfortunately throws are condoned by the AFL. They want the ball to clear congestion any way it can.

Brayshaw. Young, brilliant player.

Wasn't he the one that they drafted with the pick they got for Lachie Weller?

What an absolute gift that was.

If we had drafted Weller originally, would he have gone to the GC? And would we have drafted Brayshaw with that pick? Brayshaw would have been bloody handy last Thursday.

Anyhoo, all hypothetical in the end.

Been written before I know, but i cannot get my head around it, Chris Scott coaching Geelong and his twin brother general manager of football at the AFL.

And Hocking who was originally with the Cats, then to the AFL where he implemented rules to help his former club, and now back to the Cats.

Yes, he was.

I realise my post can be misread - I wasn't calling Brayshaw a young, brilliant player, although he is a fantastic young player. I was saying Hayden Young is a brilliant player! Ha!

... corrupt madness ....

btw - yesterday/day before - i wasn't watching and can't quote who i heard - but pretty sure mention was made of the (S)Hocking
move from ... Cats - AFL - Cats ...

It might've been one of the Fox Footy goons? they sounded quite cynical - pretty funny ...
