Round 1 (2022) - other games

Melbourne look great until their pressure drops off just a fraction, then the Dogs scored quickly.

An interesting game. Centre clearances looking very important. At times the Dog's entries inside 50 are very disorganised and the ball just goes straight back out.

Have to find ways of stopping that rebound out of defence, that is going to be vital this year. Damned hard though.

Some of the dropped marks by the Dogs look like perceived pressure, they really need to work on that. Some of their little short passes are way off too.

Some interesting holding the ball decisions, the test will be if the decisions in 5 weeks resemble what is being paid tonight. A few holding frees, now that is interesting, I really hate players being held before they get the ball, should happen more often.

Crowd is disappointing, I reckon 40-50k. AFL will spin it but they must be disappointed.

It was never really going to be much more with these two teams even if it is the GF replay.

Wednesday Night seriously doesnt help either.

The AFL are taking the pisss with their fans.

Not to mention plenty have gotten used to not going and footy is less important now for many as it once was.
