Richmond Members Reserve Seating

Laugh it off. Surely after all these years you would all be used to copping crap about our team anyway, there wouldnt be much you hadnt heard before.

Exactly, you feel like joining in with the opposition fans in bagging Richmond sometimes with the crap we dish up.
My problem is with the performance not sitting next to an opposition fan.

Though, if you pay to sit in an area reserved for RFC members, then that's who should be sitting next to you.

I'm in the Northern stand and I'm sure they sell some of it thru the ticketing agencies.

Ticketmaster actually sold my reserved seat a few years ago and I had a woman wanting to sit in my seat at a game. Nobody at the MCG wanted to help on the night. The club didn't want to know about it when I rang them on the following Monday. Thankfully Ticketmaster helped and told me that my reserved seat had not been blocked by the club and was still available for sale (they then blocked it). The club sends the ticketing agencies a list of seats they have sold as reserved seats (blocked seats) and those not on the list can be sold by the agency, regardless of club support. So our premium reserved seats can often include opposition supporters at games with large crowds.

It's good to have an option and a reserved seat in a Richmond area should offer that. Opposition supporters in Richmond areas can be very antagonistic and cause a lot of disruption. I sometimes make the choice to sit in the general area rather than in my reserved seat, but when I am in my reserved seat I don't expect to be harassed or see fights.

What about when it's amongst our own ;) We do have many a feral in the supporter base :p

I agree generally with what people are saying, but simple fact is, if the club hasn't sold the seat, we can't expect the seat not to be sold. Though during the second half of this year, up in the second level of the northern, security has been right on this. If anyone sits in our bay wearing op colors - Security are onto them within 2 minutes asking to see their tickets.
