Rich V Carl - Match Day Thread

That looked a lot like some of our *smile* Qs last year. Glue came off. Stopped working as a team.

Have to start asking the question is he finished? Eg are the injuries just going to be too often and too long for him to have any meaningful impact to this side
He's 30 in October. Things aren't going to get better from here on for him unfortunately.

Losing Prestia has cost us.
I said during the trade period we couldn't go into this year hoping he completes a full season.
This was going to happen but round 1 in the first qtr that's hard to take.
His body will always let him down.
Hardwick needs a plan B.

Well only 8 points down - after such an insipid qtr. How many goals did the blues get of 50 m penalties - 2 maybe.

If we can settle and our mids have to get their hands on the ball - that’s where we are getting smashed - even when we win the tap it’s going to them so our kids must be flat footed (or slow which would be a worry).

When was the last time the blues led round 1 at half time - I can’t remember.

Aside from the undisciplined 50’s (we shouldn’t bother to man marks in our forward line), it’s all about lack of a midfield.

We got on top via Prestia and Martin. Prestia goes off injured again & Martin rests and there’s nothing left. Plus our ball use tonight has been sloppy.

Think it might’ve been against Lynch for running towards protected area. U pores are certainly dragging out an array of frees from their bag of tricks.
Was definitely against Lynch and 50 was definitely there. Was a bit of a brain fade.

Time to our Balta on the ball.

Nank is still playing like he still has Covid.

Only 8 points down after resembling witches hats for a quarter.

Time to see if this mighty team still has some pride

We don’t play the stand rule well, so I don’t understand why we bother to man the mark at all behind centre. Would be better if we played 5 metres back. A couple of the 50’s were for getting into 5 metre corridor too.

Problems of last year are there once again. Issue is this year's draft wont be ready for a few more years. We are looking at another year of pain. Need to get games into the youngsters
