RFC Indigenous Program - Cyril Rioli

I have heard Jeff Kennett talk a few times in his capacity with Beyond Blue. My problem with him is that I don't believe what he says even though the words are sometimes the right ones.
For instance how can you talk about middle age male suicide rates and mental health issues and support pokies at your football club at the same time? Even when he talks about these things he profiles age groups, ethnicity and gender which makes me think he academically understands the issue but he doesn't really understand human feelings, he has no soft skills.
His ego won't accept that he is anything but perfect which just makes it worse

Heard a whisper that the Hawks have approached somebody who is involved in our indigenous program to do some work for them. I think one of the goals is to mend the situation with Cyril by improving the clubs ability to work with indigenous players.

My mail is that the person isn't really interested until Jeff is gone. Good call I reckon.

It sounds like the hawks reaching out Rioli a few weeks back in Darwin didn’t go the way they planned- maybe got told more home truths.

I can’t believe with all the work we have done in this space and the large number of indigenous players we have (all via draft), that none of them from other teams have requested a trade to come over. I know it’s not that simple and we have to want them but thought some would want to be part of our culture and the institute, and brothers etc.
