Retire / Trade / Delist

As a rookie we wouldn't have to pay his wage, would we?
Not really sure how his wage would be determined if another club rookie listed him. At a guess I’d say his new club would pay a rookie wage and North to cover the rest. But Id be very surprised if a fourth club recruited him.

Thats what is referred to in the industry as "setting the tone" !!

Our Great Skippa Chimp did it again to Gazza in 20 (wouldve loved to have seen him pole axe Shovkins the Mutha$%#!@#%)...I digress.

He's a savage our great Captain..... love the bastard.

Looking forward to more Chimp Savagery this coming season when he is fit and firing after carrying a PCL injury.

Confession - I like Mummy.

He was an enormous fat muffin at 18 playing low-level hick town footy (and notorious for eating sausages by the dozen after games) - but turned himself into a proper footy athlete and had an excellent footy career including a flag.

Enjoyed being at the 'G to watch him lose the '19GF - but otherwise well done to the big bloke.

North have delisted Shaun Atley, Trent Dumont and Tom Campbell.
The Saints have signed Tom Campbell as a DFA. They love their dud rucks down there, Campbell will probably last as long as Paul Hunter did.

To think JB calls it on MMM as Mumford basically decapitating Cotchin...

From what I have seen of Campbell over the last few seasons I wouldn't say he a dud, just a journeyman trier who can fill the spot when needed at lesser clubs.

Would someone please advise how rookies get elevated these days. In the past you had to use a draft pick but I don't believe that is required anymore?

We have Aarts, Mansell, Parker, Stack, Miller and Pickett plus spots guaranteed for Cumberland and Nyuon, not sure about Miller as well? Colina is a catB rookie.

They can't all stay as rookies

Yes I think you still use a pick. I believe we have delisted (and will re-rookie) both Biggie and Noah so we could maximise the number of picks we take to the ND, which might enable us to trade on the night. We will promote at least 2 from the rookie list on the night, probably Stack and either Pickett or Mansell I suspect.
