so if he didnt have a clearance in the 1st 3/4s when he was playing back he had multiple clearances the last?
Well to find out I re-watched the last quarter with a focus on Conca. And here's what I saw:
17.24 (to go): Received on HFF and perfect pass to McIntosh inside 50 - he then missed the shot for goal
11:46: HBF pickup and handball to Grigg
10:53: Tigers 19 points up, Conca is at centre bounce - Dusty gets clearance - results in goal
10:29: 25 points up, Caddy clearance & handball to Conca, bombs it forward into 50, ball is repelled
9:20: wing, Conca smothers creates a turnover then receives handball further down & handballs to Edwards (who bombs, no score)
8:06: Conca at centre bounce - handball receive from Dusty clearance - beautiful kick to Reiwoldt on 50, unfortunately no score
6.45: Throw in on wing - Conca punches forward 20 metres but cleared by Carlton (not sure if this goes down as a clearance - maybe).
Must have come off after that. Whilst he wasn't totally bad, he really was not the clearance winner in the last and certainly wasn't the key to our comeback. Had one clearance (punch from throw in) so must have had a centre clearance at some other stage of the match. Watching the last quarter replay, Jack Graham was unbelievable and very influential when he was in the middle with his immense pressure and Dusty was the cream who made it all happen to pull us in front, just an absolute champion.
Thought Short had some great dash in the last and broke the play open a bit too. So it's going to be a tough one who stays in for Prestia and Houli. I'm thinking C Ellis might miss out.
