That was a solid win.
Started well but couldn't get goals. A few of those chances were difficult but should have got a couple. Settled after the first goal.
Although, quite strangely if you were watching, Port ended up with more inside 50s, we were clearly the better team.
The way they run through packs to get possession, make sure they are providing an outlet and able to pass into small spaces - all of this is impressive. Maybe they should show the blokes video of how you need to make space and go and get the ball. The pressure applied by the Richmond players gave Port very little time and space, this eased a bit in the last but it was evident in the way Port just couldn't make the play, not allowed the freedom to get going.
Port seemed to have a real crack in the last quarter, but our defence held and we managed to get a relieving goal which was vital.
Umpiring was simply putrid. The number of frees they got for indiscretions when the same happening to a Richmond player would just be play on. They were appalling and clearly favoured one team. So sick of this.

Loving the girls season. They are playing entertaining footy and have made a massive step up in skills, structure and size.
Feels like we have 4 a graders and quite a few B with some extra years of experience now.

Got some absolute guns through the middle of the ground, which is why they can move it through congestion. They have pace, too. Who is their S&C person? Working with a much better system than the guys.

sheerin will probably get a week won’t help. And Shevlin listed in match report with an ankle.?
Sheerin’s tackle was less impact than Mackenzie’s last week. I would contest any time off.
Shevlin got her leg trapped under her in a tackle and clutched at the ankle straight away. Didn’t come back on.
Shevlin came off during the game and sounded relatively serious.

Think we need our best team on park to handle norf so will be tough. Banana peel on wce a bug bummer.
That's a relief.
North this week will be a real test and a look at where we are in comparison to the contenders. After a few solid wins there should be some confidence to go for it and back ourselves to be competitive. Hoping for a great game.
