Geelong got beaten by the worst team in the league
Brisbane getting beaten at home
Bombers lost after being up by 40

The only thing to make this better is if North can somehow find a way to beat the Kochies.

Loved the Essendon FB posts at half time. They were already counting potential wins against the Tigers. Maybe should worry about winning the current game against last year’s 15th team first.

Reckon round 1 often throws up a few mysteries.
Teams are fresh, enthusiastic, and there are no expectations and pre-conceived notions of how good anyone really is.
That's why it was so important to win on Thursday. Looked good in the end but it could have gone either way.

That’s all that matters isn’t it? The scoreboard statistic is so overrated.

No it wasn't, it was the uncontested between contested inside-outside 50's that cost them.
