R1 team v Carlton (2020).

Marchbank more important to Carlton than Houli is for us.

Plowman likely to miss also.

A big bag beckons for Lynch.

Decision delayed another 24HRS.... :nono

Apart from anything else, how can you expect players to mentally prepare?

Landscape changing constantly.

Clubs told business as usual Thursday but we will not know 100% till the day comes!

I love landscaping.
The AFL dosent know if its coming or going.
There's no chance this season will get past 6 rounds let alone 17.
51 added to the list today of contracting the virus.
Experts are saying 150000 could die in Australia.
Let's put this season to bed.

I think under the circumstances we need to give them some slack. Players will just need to live with it, they're probably close to the most privileged in Australia atm with all the support (including medical) they have around them.

Poor Gil looked like a car crash victim yesterday in front of the cameras, whose still shaking off the effects of rohypnol.

Deadset, it's now a shambles.

What will change in the next 24 hours that makes a decision tomorrow better than one today?

Of course, a positive test amongst the wider AFL playing group is the exception. But that would always be the exception.

By sitting on their hands, again, the decision-makers look like they are indecisive and feeble.

Apart from anything else, it'd be nice to be able to generate some genuine enthusiasm for the round's matches if we do proceed.

As it stands, we now have another 24 hours of handwringing to look forward to, not proper footy talk.

Great.

I think they decided a few days back to not run the season.

or delaying until May.

The meetings have been about how they are letting the supporters know.

But I may be wrong

If the Government tonight decide to ban unnecessary gatherings from 500 to 100 then football is cancelled.

Heres my take.Start the season on the 1st of August this year with a Grand Final on New years Day.This can work as a celebration of *smile* gone by and a positive start to the new year.Billions saved.Depression lowered.AND another flag to the Tiges crystal cabinet.

Flogs in suits might be waiting n praying for a positive or two so they can righteously shut the season down. No positives n they have to keep shuffling day to day.

Big test for the AFL administration here.
Sadly the can’t make a decision and don’t know what the *smile* to do.
Nice to know the game is in good hands

With America dropping "groups or gatherings" to no more then 10.
The Aus Government will follow suit.
Not sure why they keep on saying that only the elderly are the vulnerable.
When last night a fit 28 year old soccer coach died after getting the virus.
The virus hits people and it dosent discriminate between ages.
Everyone can get it and everyone will suffer different outcomes.
Why wouldn't the AFL have a safety net of money.

They'll be waiting for a force majeure to absolve them from contractual obligations. We're the guinea pigs until they postpone the season.

I'm hearing we'll all be in lockdown shortly, announced on Friday.

Correct, TBH, that's how it's looking ... and why Gill and AFL are so shocked and confused. Not sure how to salvage the season and not lose huge $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
