Whenever Dan Rioli does something good we get ‘that’s what Riolis do’ or ‘Riolis are built for finals’. Tonight we even got ‘Cyril will be watching proudly tonight in the Tiwi’ thrown in, rather than addressing Dan as an actual individual, with his own first name and stats and everything. Don’t know why, but it just kind of irks me.

I disagree. I think Brisbane are building a damn good side. But it's not their time yet. Any club that's been out of finals for a while needs to experience a couple of seasons of finals footy before they're able to be a true threat.

Seems to be the latest catchphrase. Tom Lynch has been spruiked for much of the year with the same tag. Craig McRae was interviewed for the Footy Record and said Sam Lloyd was "made for finals".
