PS3 or XBox?

Blast from the past!

Had a C64 with hundreds of games back in the day. The upgrade to the 5.25in disk drive from the tape deck was very exciting. Learned to program in BASIC on the C64.

Back on topic, I have an XBox360 with Kinect, but only because I have a brother who works for MS and was able to get me one for a very low price.

As said on this thread previously, both have their pros and cons.

Actually, one thing I have only just become aware of is how many of the games for both machines are rated M or MA.

Son is 9, might have to have a rethink.

Xbox for me, Foxtel only costs me $20 a month that way and no contracts.

That's the only reason I would buy an Xbox over a PS3, I have played neither of them. I just want to use it to play the odd game, store and play music and get the footy cheap next year.

Not at the moment as far as I know. Footy under the new deal? Not sure.

According to Rhett on the Foxfooty thread you will get the footy on Xbox next year from around $20 per month. The only other charge is for Xbox live subscription.

I'm looking at getting the foxtel thru it, interested to know of peoples experience with it? how much does internet provider play a role for picture and stream quality, etc
