Not sure what to make of tonight's NAB game against Freo.
I, like many others, wasn't interested really in the scoreboard result ...
More interested to hear PRE's view as to if/what promising signs might have been shown by particular players

Broad nice.
The rest light years away..
Roili will make Fiora look like Carey. Mark my words.
Ellis was disappointing
Lennon will be ok
Townsend just send him back to GWS.

Thought conca was good/ok
Markov showed glimpses
Choi was interesting to watch
Broad did a few ok things

Nothing else really stood out for me

Conca, Chol, Markov, George, Marcon.

Good to see CEllis back. Butler and short ok when they got a run.

Massive ask from Ivan when Griff and Vickery went down.

Glad to see we sorted out that forward line over the summer. Much better huh :help

So far, Chaplin in attack is more a joke than Morris was.

It was just a chance for our VFL side to play an almost full strength Frockers side
Will wait to see how we go next game against the Dawks

Yer, trying not to read much into it, but our FL strategy just seems clueless still. How do opp just have players easily running into space for shots on goal?

Then when we have someone kicking I50 there are no options but to kick to an empty pocket and penalised for OOB or deliberate, or to a 2 on 1.

My other observation too, Freo's kicking standard made ours look 3rd grade.

Did David knock back the Brissy offer?
Should have swallowed his pride and taken it.

Dave Astbury had a nightmare.
Chol knows how to play a bit.
We have serious pace but it's mostly second division.
I thought we'd be lucky to kick 5 goals so...meh..bush praccy game.

Even worse by the club not to release him for what his worth a 5th rounder

Yeah it's hard to do.., but you have to ignore the scoreboard

I like Jayden short, Mabior chol,

Of the senior guys, Conca was pretty encouraging.

As for taking anything out of the game,

Nothing to see

Freo beat out reserves in WA.

Big surprise

I wouldn't have commented but Dimma did mention it was something we had worked on so that makes it fair game. I just did not see any recognisable structure. What was it, 3 crumbing goals and 1 on the run. 1 goal from a back man and 1 from a beanpole kid. Our forward entries were awful, top of the square to a huge pack or over the boundary for a throw in, nothing new there. I only hope that with Vickery all hot and bothered and Griffiths head butting Sandys shoulder it left our forward line in disarray. Otherwise it will be a long year of dour struggles and low scoring games.

Well done in the detail. As I said though, clueless!

Really worried the club has no FL expertise whatsoever.

Please tell me I'm wrong ... and who is the FL brains trust?

On evidence, zilch. Or Jack ... and that's it folks.

Or wait on. It's ... it's Chaplin to the rescue!!!!!

Inspirational strategy.. left field. No one will expect that!

Just an opportunity to see who can make it happen from nothing
Everyone looks good when the "big boys" take the pressure and give the team structure to work in
Only a rare few can do that, make something from nothing
Chol, Conca, and a few cameos Markov, Menadue
All will be better for the run and will look better with a few "big boys" around them
