The learnings out of this (if we needed any further reminding) is that contested ball, especially centre clearances, has never been as important. It was Melbourne’s theme last night & Dogs doing the same tonight.

Reckon Port yet again got ahead of themselves and like last year I suspect they thought they would just rock up and win.

There is a soft undercurrent at that club IMO.

Did everyone see Ladhams kick it oob when he was on the run just before the Wines goal. Exactly the same as the Castagna one he was pinged for II.
