Thought I'd start this one instead of discussing on last week's thread... I'll leave it up to the chief @Mr T. as to whether or not this is too early and it's renamed or taken over or whatever. :)

Like most on here I'm in the #anyonebutgeelong camp.

However, I've found it difficult to get emotionally attached to the Dees because I've never warmed to Goodwin. ... dunno if it's that funny South Australian accent or his time spent doing melatonin with Hird.
Decided to pretend he's not the coach and to support any sort of Richmond link, tenuous as they might be, which will sort of make me invested!

Here's what I've got off the top of my head and if I'm wrong then feel free to point it out and add anyone else.

Greg Stafford..... obviously played.
Troy Chaplin. .... ditto
Choco Williams..... assistant coach
Alan Richardson.... Coburg coach when aligned
Angus Brayshaw. .. old man former CEO
Kysaiah Pickett.... Marlion's nephew?
Steve May... from our northern cousins and co capt with Lynchy.
Jake Lever.... played his role in helping us to the 2017 flag:rolleyes:
Max Gawn.... didn't he barrack for us?
Clayton Oliver. .. Former VFL great!

That's enough for me..... #godees

On the eve of finals commencing. I thought it was down to Melbourne or Port to win it and daylight after those two. But Footscray are beginning to convince me. Or is it an illusion that they have played two of the weaker finals prospects? Essendon probably overperformed to get there. Brisbane have looked a bit patchy at various times throughout the year.

I'm quickly losing interest. The Dogs v Lions game was ok but all other games have been pus. Not assisted by any decent level of umpiring. What happened to the umpiring standard going up from semi finals on?

Dees or dogs are my preference but moving on to trade week, draft and pre season training is my main interest

I'm not convinced by any of the teams.

Dees - could *smile* the bed at any stage. 60 years of history behind them
Dogs - look good but agree their oppo may not have been up to scratch
Cats - we've seen it all before
Port - surely can't lose two prelims in a row at home?

Said it on the other thread but how *smile* is that week off before the GF?

In the midst of a lockdown?

If port don't win the flag this year.
They should hand back their licence and move back into the SaNFL.
*Bottom 4 Draw
*Played all decent sides at home.
*Have had the luxury for the last 2 years to basically living a normal lifes.
If they lose either this week or next week.
For me it will match Brisbane's pathetic efforts.
The shitest finals series since 05, 06

Given that I am holding up the league ladder at the moment I thought I would pass on my genius tips for others to use.Port to win the flag . Extra salt on Geelong's wounds having an ex player lift the cup

In one of the only 2 VFL games I have seen. Clayton Oliver played half back for us as a top up. Watched him closely and said to my mate on the 5 hour journey home hope that we picked him up in the draft. We both agreed. It wasn’t to be as he went before our pick

Thought he would be good but didn’t pick that he would be as good as he is.
Know Spargo’s dad well enough that I have had more than a couple of beers with him

So will be supporting the Dees first
The cats last not for any other reason than the preferential treatment they get from the AFL

Incidentally in the Company Directors Course that I did the AFL was a case study. not from a positive angle as all would realise

haha nice angle TbV,

yeah ive shed all my my mis-preconstraceptions,

and I'm all aboard The Dees.

Im finding it quite easy to say, Go Dees.

Go Dees

classic pair of prelims; Dees and Port 100% fit,

Cats lose parfait, Hawkins has a big corked hammy, and danger is on 1 hand and facing a final.

If Bont plays, he'll be like Dusty 2018 prelim, weightman gone.

think the rested outfits get it done comfortably

I'm conflicted. Despise Cats Scott Selwood and Go Dees fans....! Winner of Port and Dogs to go on with it.....

Go Dees

I might have to fetch a tweed jacket and join you!

Have a good friend who is currently quarantining in Perth hoping they make the Grand Final, he is just old enough to remember 1964 so it sure has been a long wait.

Now here’s a thought , with lockdown on us will the Dee’s , players and fans be concentrating on the footy now and NOT the snow ?

Obviously not Geelong but not much more interested in Melb or Dogs either.

So Port for me - happy for them to beat Melb in the granny and know that I won’t see a Port supporter till next year and even that depends on the fixture.
