So what do you call people that THINK they are protecting a minority group when the minority group themselves are not offended to begin with???
On here I call them 'social engineers'....lefties....do-gooders.....and I think that is being rather courteous considering.

By the way, you can leave the Muslims out of your list, because in the cases I have provided on this thread so far, the Muslims have been dragged into it by these 'social engineers; who think they know everything.

So like I said Sixpack....it isn't the Muslims who are at fault with much of this political correctness....it is caused by others, who I call social-engineering lefty do-gooders who want to push their own agenda, while using 'protecting minority groups' as their scapegoat to achieve this.

A man has been convicted of racially aggravated harassment after calling a Welsh woman English.
Michael Forsythe was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail, suspended for 12 months, after being found guilty of racially aggravated disorderly behaviour, a court official said.
Forsythe received the sentence at Welshpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was also ordered to pay 200 pounds in prosecution costs.
The former lorry driver, who is originally from Northern Ireland, but lives in Powys, Mid Wales, called Lorna Steele an "English *smile*" during an argument after he collided with her parked vehicle in the Welsh market town of Newport in February.

One of the facts of life is that some people are more susceptible to emotional trauma than others. While some people may be able to face facts others can't and having the facts pointed out to them can be very detrimental to their state of mind.

My mum's worked her whole life as a psychiatric nurse ssstone, treating people who aren't as mentally strong as others. I talk to her about her work all the time and I've also done quite a bit of voluntary work with people with mental problems. You think these people are a joke somehow?

I know it hasn't happened yet but I hope councils don't think of putting any bans on christmas festivities this year for fear of offending non-christians (I am probably agnostic by the way). Going through a shopping centre on the weekend, there was santa and his helpers. There were all the kids, a fair proportion were Muslim, having a fun time. I say they were muslim because their mums were wearing the traditional headscarf. They didn't care about the fact that they weren't christian, they were kids having a good time and nobody seemed offended by it.

A lot of the decoration bans are due to cost.

I know City of Monash is just having board around the barriers that protect trees rather than the usual hanging decorations on the power lines because the power utilities were asking for massive fees to hang them and take them down compared to previous years.

Why don't these councils save money by banning those useless Melb Cup decorations and use the funds for something more worthwhile in Christmas.

Honestly, we have the most stupid public holidays in the world: one for a horserace lasting 3 minutes and one for a Queen who doesn't exist anymore. Why ban Show Day which related to Melbourne?

No ham for Christmas: Muslim menu for WA hospital

A WA hospital has scrubbed baked ham from its Christmas menu, fearing Muslim patients could be offended.
It has also overhauled its entire menu so that all meals are now halal – containing only meat and other food prepared according to Muslim customs.
But Port Hedland Regional Hospital staff and many non-Muslim patients are outraged, saying it is a case of political correctness gone mad.
Kitchen staff are so angry that they have organised a petition demanding ham be put back on the Christmas menu.
Other WA hospitals are also introducing halal dining, though the Health Department says Port Hedland is the only one to convert its entire menu to suit Muslims.
Hospital directors decided to axe the traditional festive season baked ham because of the high percentage of Muslim patients.
