I worked with his brother for a bit 4 or 5 year ago. Really nice guys. I didn't like Joe on the field but if he's anything like his brother he's probably keen to get any from footy culture.

Brave guy to turn down $1m. I'd be too much of a tightarse to turn that much money down.
It’s surprising in the sense that he is running freely and appears to be having fun on match days.
Yep. A million dollars is 20 odd k per week or nearly 3 grand per day.
Who else will pay him that sort of money?

Ended up playing 96 Games for BrisVegas.
You would have thought he could play 4 more to top the 100.
Thereby giving his kids the choice of 2 clubs.
As is stands he's consigning them to EssenDoom.
Given by then they will deep into 40 Years of Finals Free Footy.

He didn't play 100 games for either club actually - 98 for Essendon and 96 for Brisbane.
Bloody hell, I just google mapped it, Ocean Shores to the Gabba is over a 2 hr drive! He must have an apartment in Brisbane or something, surely.
The M1 is notorious for crashes and delays. Could take him 3-4 hours to get home.
