Pick 53: Jack Graham

Soft, outside player ;)

Jack Graham (did not return for the second half due to an ankle injury)

21 disposals, fourteen contested possessions, eight clearances, six tackles

That's kinda cool. Nothing to gain this year, let him keep knocking up huge numbers at VFL. Get him cherry ripe for day 1 of pre-season and I dare say he will have limited time off and will work a modified off season program right up to the start of the actual preseason. Great to have him building. And the perfect type for Paddy Naish to work with. Inside outside combo.

Not sure SCOOP , from what I've seen and if he gets another month of midfield time under his belt , I think he could have a positive impact on the senior side. Certainly will have a big impact playin VFL finals if that's the path that happens this year.

Throwing a kid in to possible debut in finals would be super rare. I actually can't think of one and I'm not sure it's fair. Not sure he has enough in the legs to do it.

I would love, love, love, love to see him dominate VFL finals. Would be the perfect end to a pretty stressful year for him but would give him so much confidence and allow him to set himself for a round 1 debut in 2018.

Genuine tough footballer I think SCOOP, neither path will faze him imho , got the physique, just needs the Miles in the legs.

Brereton, McMullin I think were 2

Vinnie Cattoggio and that Tiger country legend who came down to the big smoke , played in one GF win and then blew his toe off in the off season.

With you on this one Scoop, prime him for 2018.

If he plays like he did in the first half last week, for the next two weeks and plays four quarters in those two weeks.

He will be in the side before finals

For a first year player, he is built like a brick sh!thouse. (underutilsed term)
He'll have no problem making the transition to the senior side when his time comes.
Graham is no C Ellis or Menadue. He's a contested beast.

When they had the photo shoot of our draft picks this year Jack stood out as someone that looked like a footballer and ready to play. Shai and Garthy looked like skinny kids (which they are)

Got the feeling that was part of the reason he was available when he was, clubs saw him as a man playing against kids. He seems to be proving them wrong at VFL level.

Out his 21 possessions in a half last Saturday he had 14 contested possessions and 8 clearances .

I don't care if that is at vfl level those are incredible numbers.

he was great , his tackles also stick & hurt

I have seen all his vfl games live and he is going to be very very good. Reminds me of Kennedy from Sydney
