Ironic...
Fractured finger..?
Mitch Clearys article on AFL (where Benignfield played with a fractured finger ) but when Cleary asked Geelong for further comment they declined to do so.

Smacks of a Geelong leak of this excuse, story but then they manfully “decline to comment”.

It's no doubt accurate. Tells me that Geelong are pretty much shot if they are relying on a serial underperformer in finals to play despite a significant hand injury.

Finger fracture be blowed.
Fractured heart more like - and that’s not a recent injury either.
He’s carried that for a while but it was exacerbated late in the final quarter of last years Granny

What player isn't carrying a niggle in the finals? If Danger had 30 and kicked 3, the article isn't written.

Dangerfield's career arc is now set, good player but doesn't stand up in finals enough.

Doesn't sit within the true elite bracket of this generation.

lets not get ahead of ourselves here
Geelong put together a near perfect nd half against us early in the year
we ,collectively here , went very quiet and Geelong shot to flag favs
their tactic of going for age in Cameron , Smith & Higgins looked like paying off

the losing of Tom Stewart could be key , coming so late in the season it has given them time to adjust , unlike us losing Rance in rnd 1

my first takeway from Friday nights game , and before Port really got up and running
Geelong were over thinking it , trying to be too careful and I think every side from 1st - 5th has been guilty of that in the last month
and that was us in the 2018 Prelim V Pies

We would love for the Cats to go out in straight sets and to dance on their grave
and know it would put a lot of pressure on their club internally
small pay back for the way they have been showered with game changing frees for over a decade

but meeting GWS on the weekend , its more likely they will win , it will smooth over the talk of their football dept. getting it wrong
and that may not be such a bad thing for Tigers supporters :)

Fractured finger? Phhtt!!! Doesn’t hamper his ability to throw the ball. If he had to handball on the other hand ( no pun intended) , like most other teams, then it would be an issue.
Might be the handbaggers using it as an excuse to drop, without dropping, a serial finals choker

Oh it was the hand injury that meant he kicked the ball straight to the Port players, not his inability to hit a target. I get it.

His finger kicks the ball
When are the media going to grow a pair and unleash.
They highlighted a 32 your old Henderson and MrInvisbles mistakes but no-one mentioned the dropped mark.
The kick across goals, the panic handball. All resulted in port goals

People forget with 3 minutes to go in last year's GF. He panic kicks outside of Defence that goes off the side of the boot ends with Baker who passes it to Jack.
Game Over
