Over-reaction! Nah, just the truth!

Post game pressers should be scrapped. Coaches hate doing them. They’re often not in the best frame of mind and consequently give nothing of substance. Win or lose.
Totally agree. I doubt Bevo would've blasted if he had it the next morning or later in the night.

Tonight’s was especially rubbish. Trainee journos asking more questions to Hardwick about St Kilda than what’s going wrong with us. No one asked about the decision to put Gibcus on King for example.
We are screaming to play kids.
Playing Gibcus on King is a masterstroke.
Learnt more in 30 mins than playing out a season on the 3rd best fwd.
Dimma knows where we are at.
Could have easily swing Balta back.
Kudos to Dimma

No, it’s aging and injured players and will remain that way for quite a while
Yes it could be a while now, but we will probably win our next one before St Kilda! And how good is Ralphsmith going? Need to forget about results for a while and watch development

I think having been at the top, Hardwick and Richmond realise Premierships is all that matters. Hence Gibcus to King etc
Rd3 at Marvel today? Not relevant as both these teams are not winning it this year. As long as we are starting our development and planning now. Apart from King who are their young stars? Higgo?

Dimma's unwavering support for players is an asset to the RFC. There does come a time however, where those players through aging and the grind of AFL games taking a toll plus new rules lose their effectiveness.

Structures have to evolve to keep up with the new rules with bigger faster bodies who have silky skills an absolute must in the midfield now. Talls in key positions who can take contested marks are a must but so is speed at their feet.

The current Richmond team has these but it's looking tired and aged. Fill up depth players are not providing the necessary skill level and appear outclassed in many a contest.

If wins came from statistics we should have beaten Adelaide yesterday as we won a vast majority of the stats, except the efficiency in the forward line stood out like dogs balls. We had 10 extra entries into our 50 for less scoring shots. Dimma's game of forward at all costs and bang it long for the aging can't jump tall forwards to mark or bring it to the ground for our slowing mosquito forwards is too easy to defend against. Plus our midfield delivery like this is not premiership standard for the new evolving AFL game.

We need an assistant coach who understands the new game and can bring a tactical advantage to our style of play.

Because like sticking with aging players Dimma is sticking to a game plan which too has gone past its use by date.

Dimma proved in the 2017 season he can change - he needs to do it again in 2022........carn the Tiges.....

2017 he changed the game plan to suit the players he had at his disposal. 2022 he doesn't have the players required to match the game system forced upon the comp by the rule manipulations.

Last year n this year have been a *smile* time to get a compounded hit by rule changes, constant injury issues, tired old champs reaching career ends n a massive brain fart to the best player in the comp.
Club looked through last years draft to start bringing in kids more suited to the future game and most likely will again this year. Huge problem though, changing your list structure to suit the new game system, that's a 3 year list restructure at least.
