The buck stops at the top. It's not all the players fault. It is the way they have been physically trained for a full game of AFL and the poor Richmond coaching record since the new rules were introduced early last year.

Dimma's bubble has burst because he just does not have an answer to, nor the right players for, the new way the game is being played now.

His mental approach for the players and the club has also gone past its use by date.

He should look to bring in a new assistant coach who has the tactical knowledge on how to win this new game of AFL footy, like he did with Caracella before we won 3 premierships........

Look to create a coaches succession plan for the future of Richmond.......

There is some merit in your comments, but I wish to add that the hunger to do the extra things is lacking at the moment.Going through the motions does not cut it and yes we need to get games into the kids and newbies. That second half really showed how cooked we look and I reckon if we turn seven wins and four losses we will be lucky.

On another note the umpires seem to be contradicting themselves bigtime when you look at the time disparity for holding the ball between Richmond players and others. That clearly would frustrate our team.

And Marvel stadium???????????????????

Cool. Round 3 and we have the first Sack Dimma thread. The ferals are up and about.

Dimma will never be sacked, and nor should he be. We do need to think about the next phase of the RFC though.

Baloo, I didn't say sack. I suggested we need to change our way of thinking and strategising through getting fresh thinking under Dimma and for the club to also put in place a succession plan for the top job. That plan could take 2 to 3 seasons.

Please read before you make your misguided comments.......

Hardwick won’t be sacked but no one is immune from criticism though. What he did by playing Gibcus on King was a disgrace. Either leave Tarrant on him or move Balta down there.

What a foolish post yep, he doesn't have the cattle.....the AFL basically changed the rules of engagement with a single rule change, to screw us.
We don't have the ability to change a list quite that quickly. We've looked OK for a half in two games, and beat a more talented side last week.
I think the coach is doing OK. But our players, particularly our older mids, don't look like they've got it anymore.

I'll be staggered if we win 7 games this season the way we are playing at the moment.

some serious analysis needs to occur now at RFC. Things need to be shaken and stirred in an effort to reset before things start to possibly spiral.

Here you go. Everything that's going to be said in this thread has been said before in this one. Cut & paste is a lot easier than typing it all in again

Unlike past years prior to 17, we were bad and then got worse on the back of failure.
We need to accept this era is over and look to building the next era. But this time we can look back with utter joy and smugness.

Don’t care if Shedda, Riewoldt, Cotch, George and others have credits in the bank If their form doesn’t warrant a game they should be dropped
Its about winning games not catering to players egos that want to play on forever

I hope he has a few more clues about how to right this lurching football team than what he talks about in his post game pressers. Speaks rubbish.
Post game pressers should be scrapped. Coaches hate doing them. They’re often not in the best frame of mind and consequently give nothing of substance. Win or lose.

Tonight’s was especially rubbish. Trainee journos asking more questions to Hardwick about St Kilda than what’s going wrong with us. No one asked about the decision to put Gibcus on King for example.
