Lets do better than that. Lets not have a pick before 40
I think we'd have to bring in 2 or 3 new clubs to do that. Brendon Gale is good but I dunno if he is that good!

Depends if we count father son and academy picks!I think we'd have to bring in 2 or 3 new clubs to do that. Brendon Gale is good but I dunno if he is that good!
Horne Francis is a talent, as is Willie Rioli, as much as I hate to say it, I can see them improving.Just having a look at Port's intraclub game which is streaming live on their website (more of this from us please) and there's a definite game style change underway.
Going smaller and faster up forward and happy to possess the ball instead of going to a contest. Quite a dramatic departure from how Hinkley usually likes to play.

Pretty much an AFL team playing against a sanfl / vfl teamTrouble with intraclub games is that it's usually probables against the wishfuls. Generally makes the probables all look like inform superstars when they're playing against the reserves n numpties.

He’s genuinely a good bloke.Funny story, I flew to Adelaide for work this week. I took my regular exit row seat on the window and low and behold who plonks down next to me but big Tex Walker.
And here's the kicker, absolute gentlemen. Ripping bloke. Genuine chat for about 30 mins. Talked about everything, families, backgrounds, and footy. Told him I was a Richmond man, and he laughed and said "I always got stuck with you blokes." Spoke about the grand final, and said the noise was like nothing he has experienced. And said "how good was the power stance that day?" with a huge chuckle, I told him it had nothing to do with the outcome and he agreed and said, "we got flogged cause you bastards were too good and tough not because what we did before the bounce".
The moral of the story is 99% of what you think footballers are, they aren't. And if you treat them as normal and start yapping away, you'll be amazed and what happens.

I reckon Robbie Young was amazed what happened. Or maybe he wasnt. The moral of the story is 99% of what you think footballers are, they aren't. And if you treat them as normal and start yapping away, you'll be amazed and what happens.
You are claiming he must be a good bloke cos he had a chat with you on the plane. other evidence suggest maybe he is not. Thanks Brodders, really good input. Glad you got in the lab and cooked that one up over a week.

The answer is probably somewhere in the middle, but personally I am not a fan of anyone who uses racist comments to abuse someone.
I don't think he abused him, think he made a comment to someone else about him, which was overheard and reported by an official.
Indefensible stuff but I don't crucify racists personally, no matter how abhorrent I find them. I was raised in country Victoria and was very much a racist, because that was the values and beliefs of the community I lived in. It wasn't until I moved on in my own life and had the chance to learn and grow and was lucky enough to be exposed to indigenous people and their culture, that I even realised how inherently racist my own views were.
For someone like Walker raised in Broken Hill, it would have been on a scale ten-fold. I'd say it would be remarkable if he wasn't a racist and it certainly doesn't shock me that he would need more educating than most.
You are correct!!I don't think he abused him, think he made a comment to someone else about him, which was overheard and reported by an official.

Agree with this.You are correct!!
"Taylor Walker of the Adelaide Crows, who was not playing in the match, made a racist comment regarding North Adelaide player, Robbie Young, to an Adelaide Crows teammate who was playing," the AFL said in its statement.
As for the rest, you are correct, but Taylor is 30+, and has been living in Adelaide, playing with the likes of Eddie Betts and others for nearly 15 years, and was in a position of leadership for years. He would have been given all sorts of "education" etc, You could probably question his intelligence, but i would still struggle to say he is a good bloke, based on that evidence..
