Opposition discussion

Melbourne have just announced the community projects being undertaken by May and Melksham. Jake will be running a workshop called, 'Anger Management My Way', and May will be conducting a seminar called 'Success Through Sobriety'.

AFL being dragged kicking n screaming into investigating the biffo. Obviously different management scenarios required for independent clubs that stand up for themselves n clubs that are manipulated toadies sucking on HQ's tit.

Some good analysis here. I've posted stuff by The Shinboner before, I reckon he got himself a paying job at the ABC:

Gives me the chills to see Essendon, a once great powerhouse club.
Most of my family support the Dons, my brother is in their coterie.
So much hype for the 150th, a rabble.
Bugger the chills, as a Tigers supporter ya should be hanging *smile* on em n laying the proverbial boots in as often as ya can. One thing you can always guarantee about footy over the long run is that sometimes your mobs brilliant n sometimes they're absolute crap. The mediocre times in between are just breathing space, but when you're brilliant go as hard as ya can 'coz ya know it's coming back at ya when you're crap. That's the fun of being a supporter.

Watched a bit of the Eagles v Claremont WAFL game, it's hard to differentiate between the Eagles first 18 and their second 18.

Rotham, Rioli, Naish, Sheed, Strdanica among others. Their MSD draftee Jai Culley looked good.

Bailey Rogers for Claremont is AFL quality but it looks like no one will give him a chance.

Just watching Freo and Hawthorn, geez, Freo can pinpoint passes, we need to learn how to do that.

Haven't seen him in action Tim. What could be the knock on him? Pace? Disposal?
I think it’s simply state league bias even though we’ve seen Pickett, Hayes, some of the Eagles top ups perform well.

Rogers is your big bodied mid who kicks goals, won the Sandover last year. He,ll be 26 for season 2023 but if no one has taken a punt on him by now I think he,ll another Jye Bolton.

Wheels fallen off at the Dees?

Short memories creep in every year when a club wins a flag for the first time in however long. Media narratives bang on about 'How this could be the start of a dynasty'.

Dynasties happen in retrospect and they're hard to achieve.

Ironically I don't remember anyone marking Richmond down for a dynasty following 2017, and look what happened.

Though the saving grace for Melbourne is, flags aren't won in Round 14 as any Tiger would know...
