Sounds good.

Cracks are there beneath the veneer of faux confidence.

The media heaping the pressure on them and I am loving it.

I think they know its now or never for most of this group. They are complaining as they aren't fit enough. I don't like Cornes but he made a statement on Footy Classified that they just haven't put the work in if they are complaining. Its not like this is a sudden jump in time, its just going back to normal. They've had pre-season to prep for this (it was obvious it was going to happen) so if they choose not to put the fitness work in then thats choice, but don't then come out and complain about it before the season has even started.

Just sounds like they are getting their excuses in early.

Ah they'll be there or thereabouts again this year.

They have the softest draw imaginable in the first 6 rounds such that they'll be able to manage all their aged care residents game time throughout, and set them all up for the rest of the year.

Apparently Bartel had a crack at Geelong yesterday. Everyone knows that they are "all in" on a flag with the recruiting they did in the off season. He said it's premiership or bust for them and he called the weak for not owning that.

Yep. Don't like their chances making the grannie. So far all they do is whinge and whine and the season hasn't even started.
Great way to start the season in such a negative way.

Plus they get all those games at Jurassic Park which is so small even the elderly can cover the open spaces with ease.

Heard Pendlebury whining about it today as well. Geez him and Selwood have both played at least 14 seasons, and at least 13 of those seasons has involved 20 minute quarters plus time on. You'd think they're being asked to do something they've never done before

The way they are carrying on you'd think 16 minute quarters was the rule and not the COVID season exemption.

If 20 minute quarters are too long for them, they should retire.

Cut the breaks between goals back down to 15sec and the game will go quicker, players will fatigue quicker, goals will be scored, TV can't show that many ads

I think the current break for a goal is 45 seconds. Even reducing it to 30 secs will help and at least the broadcasters can get a 30 sec ad in, or 2 x 15 sec.

Has Cripps peaked? Is he any better than he was 2 years ago?

Crap game from 2 average teams. Bulldogs perhaps the most overrated team this year. Top 4 no chance, at best 7th or 8th. Back to their chucking best tonight, would be great for umps to call the occasional throw.

These two teams should be in the NRL. Chucking galore tonight.

I wonder how long Grundy survives before they too ship him off to another club after they realise he is not worth a 7 year contract? But then again Buckley isn’t helping by only playing 1 ruck.

The reason they lengthened the time after goals was because the goal scoring had been going down and channel 7 couldn’t run enough ads. Now that the “stand” rule looks like it may help scoring maybe they could reduce the goal gap back to 60 seconds. Too bad anyway the Cats will implode due to age.

Do the doggies actually have a game plan? Could not see one last night at all. They look like an U10 team running around like headless chooks. At least the pies have the “park the bus” game plan so they don’t get beaten by 100 points every week.
