Yep. Not Melbourne. In our 30 years of misery the AFL have done nothing to give us a leg up. Actually have done the opposite. But for an irrelevant time like Melbourne they have done everything short of giving them a premiership.

Get ya chip off your shoulder.

Makes me *smile* sick all this whining about other clubs.

How many flags have the dees won in the past 30 years?

Harden the *smile* up RFC.

The Paul Roos myth continues to grow.

Apparently North are looking to get him in as a Senior Assistant Coach for Rhyce Shaw.

Roos overrated. Flood merchant. Good way to drive your low membership away from the game.

Given that Dimma has 2x as many premierships under his belt than the super coach, when he calls time at Richmond he can kickback on the recliner and field offers to 'save' whomever he likes!

Never quite got all the Roos fanfare personally..... he's a Leo Barry mark away from being Ross Lyon!

Ironically didn’t Roos take a swipe at RFC upon leaving Melbourne? Worked out well.

not only do i find the ex footballer hacks in the media a boring pain, the same goes for dragging out the dinosaurs in this way. sometimes 'experience' is not a good thing.

Good coach at Sydney, hard to judge, either good or bad at the rabble that is Melb, but he certainly hasnt done anything as a coach to warrant his status.

Just a reminder that the "guru" lost his last game as coach by 111 points. But he did 'save' Melbourne despite that...

Norf couldn't afford him.

Come to think of it, I doubt any club could afford him under the soft cap rules.

Probably be like at Melbourne where the AFL bankrolled his wage.... which went in that book where their 'fine' for acting prejudicial to the best interests of the competition or whatever they called it sat..... couple of lines down from where Peter Jacksons remuneration was when the AFL made him CEO.

Anyway, it's squirreled away in the knowledge that you never pay it back, but when you're told to jump your only response is ..... 'how high"?!

Just reading an article on Peter Jackson who was CEO of Melbourne when he recruited Roos:

”I’m not going to say anything about the finances, he wasn’t cheap but he’s paid for himself twice over.”

I‘m sure he has paid for himself twice over.....

I‘m sure he has paid for himself twice over.....
Especially when most of it was financed by the AFL as well as Jackson..

The Paul Roos myth continues to grow.

Apparently North are looking to get him in as a Senior Assistant Coach for Rhyce Shaw.

North fans are delirious at the news:

27 see having the assistant coach's surname the same as their club emblem as being a positive omen moving forward. It is a Shaw thing.

43 are happy they they already know how to spell his surname.

Ricky Ponting is happy because he was worried they were going to ask him to mentor Shaw.

Trevor Marmalade is happy because he was worried about the same thing.

James Brayshaw is happy because the AFL will pay for it.

The remaining 7 North supporters don't care either way and just want to know when they can go back to selling the AFL Record for a living.
