Apart from Sydney, I've never watched an Olympic Opening Ceremony. Why?
(My favourite bit of the Sydney OC was listening to Triple J simulcast it with I think Merrick and Rosso and when the Aussies walked out they said "here's the national anthem" and rolled out the first few bars of Khe San.)

Yeah, the womens football final is 11am, i thought that was unfair for the female game, but clearly it is suit the States, the No1 female Football country.
Would the road race be the longest sports event where the competitors have no break? 2 afl games and and whole 9 race card at Caulfield have Been completed since the bikes started.
Serious athletes those blokes. Especially now that the drug enhancement culture seems to have been driven out of the sport.
The fact that the third and first place getters from Tour fronted up a week later shows the commitment and respect they have to their sport. Epic performance.
I'm not missing the afl scrolling boundary ads. In fact I cannot see one static ad in the women's soccer.
Why does that matter? There wouldn't have been a kit clash anyway, yellow vs dark green.
