NRL

As always the NRL players cant help but get themselves into hot water and ruin the kick off to the season comp its become an annual event for the PLayers to Put the start of the NRL season on the front and back pages for all the wrong reasons.

I was just thinking to myself "thank god the NRL kicks off this week there will finally be something to watch on TV.

So the girls were above the age of consent. They knew they were getting involved with a couple of NRL players and were quite forward about getting together with the players for a bit of consensual sex.
So what the hell is the problem? Some fit and healthy males n some ( I'm guessing ) fit n healthy women get together n do what usually happens n all of a sudden it's an outrage n a sexual scandal and peoples careers are on the line.
People seriously need to grab half an ounce of rational perspective once in a while.

The club has lost a $2 million sponsorship, must have been because the players went against the club policy of "no taking females back to the team hotel" ;)

So that would be a club policy, where they don't want their players distracted n having too much fun while getting ready for the season. Of what relevance is it to the sponsors or the league itself if the players are getting a little bit of legal jiggy jig?

Sounds like a knee jerk from the Sponsor.

That makes a big difference if they were of adult age, and consenting of whatever activities ensued and if no laws were broken then there is no story or shouldn't be.

That said I don't know what happened but if it was this cut and dried whats the outrage about.

There's no doubt the girls weren't backwards in coming forwards, the initial article that I read had no mention that the girls were of the age of consent.
The sponsors may have been outraged, who knows, it may have been a good excuse to pull the pin with the way global economy is at the moment.

Come off it. Weren't they doing a school visit? I don't think they were meant to chasing *****. 16 year olds are year 10 or 11 FFS.

Yeah a sponsor would be super-happy professional footballers visiting a school on a promotion take some kids back to a hotel and bonk them, legal or not.

If you want big salaries in part from sponsors, keep professional and personal separate. No sympathy.

One is 17. Not sure of the other.

People's sexual activities are their own business. No laws broken. But for players to do this during official club duties after an official school visit is just idiotic.

Reported as 17 year olds, and I'm pretty sure there's plenty of 18 y.o doing VCE at high schools these days. If the girls were already sexually active n going by the text messages reported more than happy to spend the night with the players. Then WTF is the issue? There's a *smile* load worse going on in the world every single day but all of a sudden the morally outraged have found another easy target to destroy.

Nothing to do with morality (for me anyway). Everything to do with professionalism, duty of care and not being a total dipstick.

Maybe you hadn't noticed before but I can assure you there's a fair % of dipsticks among the human population. Always has been n always will be, it's one of those ingrained flaws of being a human.

Yep.

Yeah I had noticed that. What's your point?

Would be even less of them going around if we were smart and removed warning labels from things again and let them thin themselves from the herd and the gene pool.

I just shed a tear in my beer, ScoMo's Sharks, trailing 22/18 had a try disallowed because of a forward pass. Would've been a fairly easy conversion too:rotfl2
