Brian Waldron today departed the Melbourne Storm to take up a post with the Melbourne Rebels as the CEO.He has done a great job at the Storm & will be a great loss.

Rod Macqueen also apparently set to be announced as Rebels Coach which is if anything probably a bigger coup being a World Cup Winning coach. The franchise is looking really good.

Excellent record with the Wallabies

Lote Tuquiri & the Tigers , a confirmed union (no pun intended) , 3 year deal . Expects to be available April 2010 after completing RU commitments in Leicester.

Benji Marshall has signed with Tigers until the end of 2015.Big risk by the Tigers as Benji has had alot of injuries.

Rugby League season 2010 gets very serious this weekend.

Dragons v Rabbitohs tomorrow night in Charity Shield........ always a fair dinkum go, not a half-hearted trial. Then the World Club Challenge in England where Storm take on Leeds Rhinos on Sunday(early am Monday our time)...... a must see game!

Both thrilling games. First one was a draw after Dragons scored last minute try in corner but missed conversion

Storm won tough encounter marked by bruising defensive efforts from both sides. Smith at half-back and Slater were sensational in the heavy going. Melbourne now hosts the reigning NRL Premiers and World Club Challenge winners. Massive effort by the club :clap

Well done to the Storm boys who grinded out a win in tough conditions.

Daniel Mortimer staying with the Eels , 3 year deal to end 2013
Great coup for Parra. Not so for Bulldogs.

Soward extends contract for Dragons, 3 years to end 2013 also.
