Yes serious, not all of them, but would rather play a couple of home games against low drawing interstate sides at a neutral venue for lots of cash. Even better would be selling games interstate when we are playing team who have Etihad as their home stadium. Why should we play our home games at their home stadium?tannerztigers said:
Me being the know it all that I am have said for years that the AFL should have kept Princes Park (ignore the Carlton thing) for low drawing games such as when Freo and Port visit here – you only need about 10,000 -12,000 there to make a profit and you could stop playing those games at Docklands that bleed the clubs money.
The AFL were stupid enough to create a stadium duopoly and then they are surprised when these stadiums try and use their market power to effectively drive up prices (i.e. amount they make) – what did they expect?! It is just not efficient to be playing games at huge stadiums that are only ever going to draw 20,000 tops, which makes North's request even moe bizarre.
This situation has been a long time coming.
